It's International Drag Day: Some of the Sassiest Queens We Love
Today is International Drag Day! The day was started via a Facebook fan page for Queens by Adam Stewart in order to "take this opportunity to celebrate and thank the drag artists that add so much to gay life and culture." In addition to drag performances, there are discussions and debates about drag rights and inclusion all around the globe. We wanted to take the opportunity to pay homage to some of the sassiest queens that we just adore.
Lady Bunny
We have to give homage to a vet in the drag biz. Not only was she a founder of Wigstock, but she's been a comedian, DJ, actor, and event organizer who has crossed the lines of mainstream and drag, and was one of the founding drag queens to do so. She's also incredibly outspoken and sassy. and often politically incorrect. Fun fact, she was a go-go dancer with RuPaul and they shared an apartment when they both relocated to NYC.

Gottmik
Gottmik was the first trans man to compete on RuPaul's Drag Race. He started doing drag at age 18 and moved to Los Angeles from Arizona to pursue a career in fashion, studying at FIDM. As a makeup artist, he's done just about every celebrity glamazon's makeup. We love his free spirit and not giving an EFF what people think.

Rhea Litre
Rhea has never appeared on Drag Race but has established her empire as the industry's Baddest Bitch without it. She travels the globe bringing her signature sass and wit by DJing, emceeing, and performing her naughty singles. She's walked on runways for Marco Marco and, when not traveling, she is a main fixture in West Hollywood. She can party more than anyone, but also knows how to WERK.

Raja
Raja is one of the Drag Race OGs! She won the 3rd season of the show but is a queen all on her own. She's a socialite and a consummate makeup artist and worked on America's Next Top Model and has a celebrity client list full of A-listers. She started doing drag at 16 and got into the LA nightclub scene very early. She is outspoken and we love that.

Bianca Del Rio
Can any list NOT include Bianca? Yes, she appeared on the 6th season of Drag Race, but she has gone far and beyond the reality show. World tours, numerous TV appearances, musical theatre roles, reality TV, you name it, she's conquered it. And that mouth of hers won't quit. She has something to say about everyone, and it's funny and it's smart.
