Jordan Jayro’s Drag Race All Stars Season 8 Recap: Episode 7, Forensic Queens

Start your engines! It’s time for another recap of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars! The competition is getting fierce! It feels like it’s going by so fast! Last week was the Rusical! We saw Kandy rise to the top and get her first challenge win! We also saw Jaymes’ elimination! She just couldn’t compete on the runway, and the girls sent her packing! Now that you’re all caught up, let’s get into this week’s episode!

Kandy is hot off her win! The lady just won $30,000! That’s a life-changing amount of money! However, she did have to send Jaymes home, so maybe it evens out. I love Jaymes Mansfield, but this one was tough. I didn’t want to see her go, but Kahanna has won a challenge and Jaymes has not. So, of course, the vote was unanimous to send Jaymes home. Even though she’s done well in all the challenges so far and has also avoided being in the bottom when Kahanna has been in the bottom like a million times. But what do I know?!

Anyway, it’s a new day in the werk room! There’s a video message from Ru talking about criminal charges and lawyers and things like that! Ru enters the werk room and tells the queens they will improvise their way through the new Ru crime series, Forensic Queens! Another comedy challenge! How fun is that?! Not very fun for Kahanna! I can’t wait to see how this turns out!

It’s time for the queens to assign the roles. Kahanna is over it, girl. She just agrees to the one role that is suggested to her. Kandy and Alexis are having a little tiff over the role of the Detective. Alexis feels like Kandy is unwilling to cooperate over the role, and she agrees to take the role of the District Attorney. Then she breaks down! As soon as that happens Kandy walks away, clearly over the drama.

It seemed like Alexis is going to be the one threatening to leave the competition. But plot twist! It’s Kahanna! She’s upset that there’s another acting challenge and feels like she is going to embarrass herself. It is a little strange that this season has had so many acting challenges! RuPaul enters the werk room to straighten these girls out! She gives them a fierce and well-needed pep talk. Ru reminds the queens that this is the best opportunity to show who they are and also have some fun! She gathered the girls and let them have it!

Okay, let’s talk about this challenge! This one was good! It was like a true crime documentary. The interview lighting was very homophonic! But that’s okay. Lala Ri and Jessica Wild were hilarious in this skit! Even Kahanna had me chuckling and she was the most worried about this challenge! Jimbo’s performance as the forensic examiner was great! Her acting skills are so amazing! Honestly, Alexis Michelle was the only person who didn’t totally slay this challenge. But as we know, the runway can change anything! That reminds me! Let’s talk about the runway! This week, the category is Miss Fill-In-The-Blank! Some of my favorites were Lala Ri, Kandy Muse, Alexis Michelle, and Jimbo. Some of my least favorites were Kahanna and Jessica Wild.

Lala Ri is the top All-Star of the week!! Kahanna Montrese and Alexis Michelle are the bottom two queens this week. Now Lala must lip sync against the super secret lip sync assassin, Jorgeous! They lip-sync to “It’s About Damn Time” by Lizzo. Lala Ri wins the lip sync! Now she must reveal which queen she has chosen to get the chop! And that queen was… Kahanna Montrese! She is now entered into the Fame Games! Next week's challenge is a design challenge! I can't wait to see how this turns out!
