Ryan O’Connell is flipping the script on how many of us perceive people with mild cerebral palsy by showing that, people with mild cerebral palsy - they're just like us. But in his case, cuter. Ryan O’Connell wrote about his experiences as a gay man living with mild cerebral palsy in his memoir I’m Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves, and now his story is coming to Netflix in the series Special, which is produced by Jim Parsons and stars Ryan as himself.
