GURL, WHAT?! “Chromatica Ball” Security Mistakes Drag Queen for Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga's Chromatica Ball has unsurprisingly become one of the hottest tickets in the world. It has brought celebrities and norms, alike, and as evidenced by the final show of the Chromatica Ball in Miami, a few drag queens, too. Yes, the final locale of the Chromatica Ball Tour faced major weather issues that dampened the evening of many fans, but at least a handful of fans got to see the Queen Monster herself upclose!!! ...or, wait... is that the *actual* Lady Gaga? If you're unsure, don't worry: the security team at the Chromatica stop also wasn't sure.

Brazilian-based drag queen Penelopy Jean has become one of the most well-known drag queens in the world, in no small part to the fact that she's dedicated her craft to *flawlessly* replicating Gaga's look, mannerisms, and lip movements for her lip syncs over the last decade. She describes herself on her Instagram page as a DJ, Performer, Creator, and Lady Gaga Impersonator, which also lends itself to the fact that she really is an artist.

As would be expected, Ms. Jean brought her iconique look to Miami and had fans going googoo for Gaga. Or so they thought. Since the concert got mostly rained out, fans made their way out of the venue en masse. When they caught a glimpse of Jean, the cameras started rolling, and the hes, shes, theys, and gays went bonkers. In an interview with NBC News, Jean said, "A few people were coming up to me for photos, because I’m in drag. It’s totally normal. It wasn’t until the end of the show that the crowds got huge."

But things didn't just stop with the photos and the fans. “I was leaving with my friends, and when I turned around, I saw six security guards with me.” That's right: Lady Gaga's security detail at the Chromatica Ball thought that the drag queen was the real Queen, as evidenced by their moment of total shock and confusion when they finally heard the words she's heard saying repeatedly: "I'm a drag queen." Jean shared the moment on her IG page and it is absolutely as incredible as you could imagine. Watch the moment here:
