Trixie Mattel and Katya Are Making The Jump From YouTube To Viceland

CELEBRITY

Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova (say that three times fast) are taking their hit YouTube show UNHhhh over to Vice's cable network, Viceland, after scoring a deal with the company.

Along with the move comes a new name, too. The show will now be called the Trixie & Katya Show, and it will join Viceland's lineup of other controversial entertainment, such as Ellen Page's Balls Deep and Gaycation. I'm guessing they didn't have very long to decide on a title. Then again, "UNHhhh" isn't exactly Emmy-worthy either.

The two drag queens, who were both on season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race (Katya was also in a season of RPDR All-Stars), announced the news over the weekend and fans of the show seemed to react very well. Viceland is also excited to bring the queens over to the network for some unexpected fun and laughter. The show will be "a hilarious hybrid of late night, daytime, and advice shows," according to a statement released by Viceland

After only one season of UNHhhh (ugh that name), it's a pleasant surprise to see the team's hard work has paid off. I have hope the show will succeed, though. RuPaul is taking on the role of one of the producers, and he's joined by other great names in the industry like Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, and Nelson Walters.

It's also exciting to see more LGBT+ entertainment on networks that will take a chance, and Viceland is about as edgy as you can get. The Trixie & Katya Show is slated to premiere November 1.
