One contestant, Luke Valentine, was caught saying the n-word on the show’s 24-hour live stream. I saw the clip, and I will describe it to you… So Luke (a white man) is in a room with two other white male contestants and another male contestant of color. Luke is saying something and ends the sentence with “…my [n-word]”. The two white male contestants just looked at him and were visibly upset. They just left the room right after. This man said the word so casually as if he’s said it a million times before. I do not like that at all. I’m glad CBS and the producers removed him from the house.

For Actors Podcasting During a Strike, Speaking Out of Turn Is the Big Concern

It’s gonna be such a beautiful day when I can finally report that the Hollywood strikes are over! This whole thing is getting way too out of hand. The writers' strike started over 100 days ago, with the SAG-AFTRA strike starting not long after. This has had a hugely negative effect on many union members who were barely making ends meet before the strike. Which was the main reason for the said strike. But now they can’t work until the strike ends. The ripple effect has now reached even podcast and video coverage of film and television. Pretty much union members can’t mention or promote anything that would lead people to view a union project. So recap podcasts and YouTube channels are faced with a tough time. We need these executives to grow up and stop being so greedy. Here’s to hoping that next week things are different.
