“For The Love of DILFS” Contestant Spotlight: Himbo Nathan Ferguson

Nathan is an upcoming singer and songwriter living in LA. with an artistic background. He has dancing experience and even competed against the Abbey Lee Miller Dance Company. With music being his main focus right now Nathan’s upcoming single “Easy” co-written with Drew Turner is dropping sometime in the near future. How was your experience being on For The Love of DILFs?

I can honestly say I’ve never done anything like it! I enjoyed my time with the cast, crew, and show. I brought down some walls but reflecting back on it I do think I felt a bit “stuck”. Every individual on the show was their own character so it was fun seeing how we all interacted and coexisted.

Do you have any regrets about what you wish you would have done or said?

I think I was extremely in my head at the time, I was in a weird transition period and I don’t think I was mentally and emotionally all there if I’m being honest. I wish I would have let my guard down more and fully enjoy it for what it was, an opportunity to meet a bunch of amazing guys and hopefully, the one.

Did this show teach you anything about yourself you didn’t know before?

Of course, the whole experience taught me it’s okay to be vulnerable with people, loved ones, friends, family. It taught me I need to work on letting people in. In all aspects of life. It helped me recognize certain triggers, reflect on why I felt the way I was feeling, and to not connect those experiences/triggers to new people I’m trying to open up to.

Would you return to the show when you become old enough to be a daddy?

“Daddy is a vibe!” - Nathan.
Although yes (shocker) there was drama, by the end of it I truly feel it became a sort of safe space for myself and the people around me. But no really, if given the opportunity of course! I’m always open to it if DaddyTV still has their doors (and legs) open for me.

What would it take to win the heart and love of Nathan?

Oh, babe. Wow, you really hit me with that one. Ummm see, I wanna say all the cliché shit like be loyal and love me all the right ways blah blah blah. Just exist with me, let’s appreciate each other as individuals and as a unit. As long as you’re patient with me, I’ll be patient with you. I don’t want my partner or myself to change necessarily, just adapt and compromise with each other as we keep growing older. Wouldn’t that be neat?

What is the worst & best date you’ve been on?

I met this on Tinder who lived in my hometown SD back when I was 19. We made a day out of it to come pick up my “new” used car in LA a 2016 Nissan Versa. It had manual mechanics instead of automatic. When he saw the car I had bought he was like “this car is so shitty why would you buy this”. Mind you I saved every cent for it so I was really proud of my purchase. HUGE TURN OFF. I still spent the day with him but I was over it after that.

Best date? To keep it short, it would have to be in New York, going to an Asian market with my most recent ex. It was enlightening to open myself to a piece of culture I’m not a part of. The food was incredible, the company was amazing.

Do you feel you were able to show who you are as a person on the show?

Part of me does and doesn’t. I do wish I would have lived more in the moment than stuck in my mind. I gave what I could, I made an attempt. I am pretty slow though so that was never a mystery lol! I was open enough to find a connection and that’s all I could ask for.

What’s your advice for those dealing with heartbreak?

Hi reader, I wanna tell you, you can love our pieces back together baby. I know it hurts, someday you’ll look back at this hurt, frustration, sadness, as an opportunity to grow.

What’s your best advice for those looking for love?

Oh shit, here we go again with the deep questions haha. I don’t think I’m the best person to give advice for love. Maybe just be you and find someone who will want all you are and will embrace all you come with. Hope that reaches somebody.

What is next for Nathan?

Honestly continuing to love myself and submerge myself into my work and passion for writing. This is my career, this is the real thing. This is what I want to be doing period. Y’all stay tuned. More things to come soon!
