Riddle me this… what is the one thing that we all want more of yet can’t seem to get enough of at the same time? You guessed it… SLEEP! Sleep can make or break your day, your workout, and your vibe. It is literally the only option that we have to recharge our bodies and our minds and it should be prioritized.
Sleep is essential for muscle growth, brain function and legit aids in all functions of the working body. A good night’s sleep increases your focus, ability to think clearly and even benefits your emotional health. I know that we’re all super busy and engaged, but it is essential to our health and well-being to DISengage every night when we hit the hay. We’re only human after all.

In today’s whirlwind that we call modern society, we can get distracted from what matters. That being said, I am writing this one to remind us all to reign it back a bit. Sleep is important, and here are some things that I try to practice before fist-bumping the Sandman.
I know that all of my friends are rolling their eyes at me, but having a proper sleep pattern works worlds of wonders. I tend to be tucking in by 11 (latest, midnight) most nights and waking up around 7 AM. Having a morning routine that starts like clockwork is my favorite way to kick things off. Having a (more or less) regular sleep pattern greatly assists with the quality of your sleep. Just do it. I promise you won’t regret it.
I am not completely off the hook with the next one, but the less caffeine, the better (also, If you can’t properly spell “caffeine,” you shouldn't be drinking it). It was created by god herself to f*** with your sleep. In general, just don’t do it past mid-day. You’ll regret it when your face hits the pillow.
Put your phone on DND or airplane mode. That goes for any and all electronics. Un-f***in-plug! All of that stimuli is fun and dandy, but not when you’re trying to give your brain a well-earned break to recharge. I dare you to try this one. It won’t hurt a bit, you have my word.
