Gay Porn Shade Ignites War Between Lucas Entertainment and CockyBoys

The gloves are coming off this week in what could possibly turn out to be the biggest and most entertaining gay porn drama of 2013!

We thought the dust had settled between CockyBoys owner Jake Jaxson and porn kingpin Michael Lucas following the shady and controversial tradeoff of blond bombshell Jett Black, but their newfound beef was revived again this week via Tumblr.

The spat between studios began in July, when it was announced with much unnecessary fanfare that CockyBoys model Jett Black had been released from his exclusive contract with the company after "multiple attempts to rebuild trust." Shortly after, it was discovered that Jett had been working as Lucas Entertainment's "Online Communication Manager," a move that was in clear violation of his contract with CockyBoys.

Some suggested that Jett was "stealing" information from clients of Studmall (the porn distribution company owned by Jaxson) and bringing them to Lucas Entertainment's distribution channel (as if he needed them). It would certainly mesh with the version of events that Jaxson cryptically outlined in the post detailing Jett's "firing," but others cried foul on behalf of CockyBoys. Sources close to the spat say "additional duties" not included in Jett's CockyBoys contract were expected of him, causing him to seek employment opportunities elsewhere.

We may never know the dirty details of what happened between the studios—and we didn't care, as interest died—but they're reminding everyone this week that the beef is still tender, honey!

In a move that Lucas called "hysterical," Jaxson posted an image this week of CockyBoys wunderkinds Max Ryder and Jake Bass sporting paper crowns above the caption "The Real Kings of New York." It's an indirect and obvious jab at the recent release of Lucas Entertainment's Kings of New York: Season 2, which has received the typical praise that comes with most of his new features.

The shade of it all!

This will be a particularly interesting battle to watch unfold, specifically because the two directors have different styles of throwing shade. Jaxson, as you can see here, prefers to fight creatively through his art. Lucas, on the other hand, is known to wage war in a more cerebral manner, opting instead to take down his opponents through carefully crafted essays, email exchanges and tweets sent from his very public soapbox.

The ball sits in Lucas Entertainment's court as of today, but anyone familiar with Jaxson's style can see he could potentially be planning to throw the next jab with his upcoming project, the much-hushed Answered Prayers. The title of the project is an exact match to the title of the post that announced Jett's firing, and could possibly handle (and explain?) Jett's departure in a more creative way.

Lucas Entertainment "Kings of New York: Season 2"

As was the draw of Season 1 of this hypersexualized "reality" series following the studio's hottest models, KoNY relies heavily on star cameos from folks like Latrice Royale, Candis Cayne, and Tan Mom, among others. But don't fool yourself—this DVD is not lacking in the sex department.
