Extras: The first disc included the movie and some trailers. The second disc began with a 32:47 minute long non-sex version of the show, a whopping 4:09 minutes of Behind the Scenes footage (almost all the dialogue cut in favor of music), a 29:46 minute cast reading, 8:34 minutes of interviews, a photogallery, some trailers, and a company promotional reel. There were then three unrelated bonus scenes from previous endeavors including Sexpionage, Craving II, and Nothin’ But Trouble, all detailed below. While it would have been great to have director cuts of the sex scenes from this movie, longer BTS footage, and things of that nature, this was a pretty decent package of extras overall.

Audio/Video Quality: Snow White XXX was shot in anamorphic widescreen by director Axel Braun for Wicked Pictures, his new distributor. This is the first in the new “Wicked Fairy Tales” line, using director of photography Alex Ladd (videography handled by Alex. Eli Cross, Axel, Robert Queensgate, and David Lord), costume designer September Dawn, art direction by Kylie Ireland & Andy Appleton, and Axel’s wife joining him and Claudia Ross as editors to make the show look its best given the porn sized budget. Unlike so many of Axel’s cheap looking parody titles, this one had some effort put into it, the colors saturated to a vibrant state and the framing of the shots helping to make everything look better, the editing definitely enhancing the end product. While shot in high definition using multiple cameras, this standard definition release still looked pretty solid, joining the ranks of the dozens of porn and mainstream attempts to tell the story from the old fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm rather than the sanitized version brought to us by Disney some 75 years ago. There was no continuous company watermark and for a feature porno, it looked almost as good as some of Brad Armstrong’s recent titles. The aural components by Seth Cardigan and Mrs Braun (music) were similarly handled, blending the crisp vocals with the appealing music and occasional ambient sound to give it added depth. The surround sound appeared to be added in post production rather than captured during production that way but it did not weaken the overall end product.

Body of Review: To say Axel Braun is a prolific director is akin to suggesting that I write some reviews, his stamp on many dozens of movies of greatly varying quality. He now finds a home at Wicked Pictures, his distribution and directing deal allowing him to helm such big budget releases as the newly released, double disc Snow White XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. Rather than a true “parody” as he is used to, the story tries to follow the original folk tale a bit closer than what some of us used to, an approach used by Hollywood for the past twenty odd years too, dropping many of the key elements in order to focus more heavily on the queen (Jessica Drake) rather than Snow White (Riley Steele), a perfectly understandable approach considering budgets these days, Jessica long considered one of the few acting heavyweights left under contract. Rather than compare this version to any of the recent or popular versions, suffice it to say that Axel took a straightforward look at the story while adding the traditional five sex scenes, the end result as good as any of the dozen or so versions made by the industry since the 1970’s.

The back cover described the movie like this: “Betrayal. Desire. Malevolence. And, of course…steamy sex! Legendary director Axel Braun and adult powerhouse Wicked Pictures proudly introduce a brand new genre in the X-rated Parody market: erotic fairy tales. Featuring an all-star cast headlined by Riley Steele in the titular role and jessica drake as the Evil Queen, "Snow White XXX: An Axel Braun Parody" is a sexy, dramatic take on the Brothers Grimm's dark story that will change the way you remember fairy tales forever.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Katie St. Ives, a lean brunette with pretty eyes, blond bombshell Ash Hollywood, and Alec Knight were up next as the ladies were presented to him as a gift by his wizardly wife. Summary: Snow White XXX by director Axel Braun for Wicked Pictures another was cute showcase for premier contract star Jessica Drake, the favored hotty getting the best lines and the most lines for good reason. She sexually owned the show too, the three best scenes (by far) in the flick featuring her talents, Riley present as very pleasing eye candy for their first joint venture. While I wouldn’t really call this a parody as much as a sexual adaptation Snow White XXX: An Axel Braun Parody had the requisite five sex scenes, some anal, a lesbian tryst, and other formulaic sexual encounters to balance out the modest story elements enough to merit a rating of Recommended, this first full review of the double disc DVD set hopefully giving readers enough insight about what you are getting to make up your own minds regarding value. I’m sure the fetching cover will sell lots of copies (excellent poster material in my estimation) and the glowing reports will almost certainly be coming in any time now but I guess I just expected a whole lot more on both aspects of the flick even if I appreciate the highlights as much as anyone else. Give it a look and you’ll see why no credible source will be dismissing Wicked’s current directorial staff (Brad Armstrong, Jonathan Morgan, or even Stormy Daniels) any time soon but maybe Axel will put his “A” game into his follow up works in the series (a guy can hope, yes?).
