The Movie:

Anchorman A XXX Parody stars Jack Lawrence in the role of Ron Burgundy, the egotistical seventies era San Diego newscaster made famous by Will Ferrell in the original Hollywood Anchorman, a film that’s understandably gone on to build itself a pretty solid cult following over the years. When the movie begins, Jack and his fellow newscasters – Dale DeBone, Anthony Rosano, and Eric Masterson – are lamenting how they’ve more or less bottomed out since moving to Los Angeles. In order to try and get their careers back into high gear and find themselves some top notch news casting positions, the crew have to team up with Veronica Corningstone (Tasha Reign) and her team of female newscasters made up of Dana DeArmond, India Summer, Aiden Starr, Dylan Ryan and Adriana Sephora. While Ron and the boys may still abide by the old adage that news casting is a man’s game, the ladies are doing a whole lot better than they are and maybe the guys could learn a thing or two about the business, and about boning, from the fairer sex.

Here’s the obligatory look at who fucks who and how they do it:

Scene One –Tasha Reign And Jack Lawrence: Jack takes Tasha back to his place for a little alone time. The Video:

Anchorman A XXX Parody movie is presented in a nice 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer that boasts good, lifelike color reproduction and strong detail levels throughout. There are some very minor mpeg compression artifacts evident in a few of the scenes but aside from that the disc is well authored, meaning that there are no problems with edge enhancement or aliasing. Sometimes the colors look to have been intentionally muted a little bit, to give the movie a sort of old sitcom look, but once you get used to it you won’t likely notice it and generally the picture does look very good here.

The Audio:

The movie sounds good in its English language Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo mix. The score, dialogue and ‘sounds of sex’ all come through loud and clear with nice channel separation and some fun directional effects. Bass response is tight and bouncy and the score in particular sounds very good. Levels are properly balanced and there are no problems with hiss or distortion to complain about. Overall, things sound great.

The Extras:

Extras on the first disc? Not a one, outside of scene selection and some nifty menu screens. On the second disc, however, New Sensations have included the ‘Party Version’ of the movie which is pretty much the same as the hardcore version, just with the explicit XXX content taken out. This brings the running time down to 28:41, so it’s considerably shorter, but hey, if you want to watch it with your mom or something, here it is. Aside from that, and probably of more interest to most viewers, is a Behind The Scenes featurette (27:40) that features some fun interviews with the cast and crew, with Lawrence staying in character as Ron Burgundy and the rest of the ‘news team’ following suit. Oddly enough, there isn’t actually any behind the scenes footage in here, just interviews, but they’re amusing enough that you’ll probably want to watch them if you enjoyed the feature. There’s also a Bonus Scene here that runs for twenty-seven minutes but features no credits. In this scene a very pretty brunette gets fucked in the office by a guy in a suit with a purple tie. Overall:

Anchorman A XXX Parody is just a fun fuck film that most will probably enjoy. The sex is steamy if not all that ground breaking and the performances completely enjoyable. The movie is well shot and the DVD offers up the feature in good quality with some decent extra features as well. Recommended.
