Audio/Video Quality: The scenes were presented in the typical 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that is the standard for the porn industry at this time. The scenes themselves came from 1999 through 2001, a period when Vivid was not exactly known for having the best technical standards. The scenes all suffered from grain, video noise and lighting problems, something critics have bagged on Vivid about for years. The good news is that the company has been working on those issues and even here, the scenes weren't terrible (well, most of them weren't terrible). If you're very sensitive to these issues, you might find some of Dayton's newer work more appealing but the scenes she made back in her prime all looked like this (regardless of the company) so fans will not be deterred. The audio was presented in stereo English but there was no separation between the channels and little by way of dynamic range.

Body of Review: Dayton Rains has been one porn's most desired performers over the years, at one time courted by Vivid, JKP, and even companies like VCA. One look at the woman and you'll know why she had so many suitors, from her blonde hair to her curvy but lean body to her wickedly devilish smile, the gal packs a punch with consumers. Vivid, having so much footage of the tasty treat, has released a number of compilations in recent years, with the latest being Vivid Girl Confidential: Dayton. If you're a fan of Dayton Rains or attractive women in general, read the following breakdown of the ten included scenes for this compilation, all of which contained the blonde bombshell:

Scene One: True Blue: D-Ralph Parfait: Dayton, Renee, and Chloe, had a short lesbian scene at a peep show. Chloe was only masturbating behind the window but I liked her role nonetheless. Dayton and Renee spent most of the time going down on one another and using toys but overall, I'd have preferred it lasted longer (kind of like sex in my real life).

Scene Two: Fluff: D-Cleo Edwards: Dayton and Pat had a scene on a loveseat and then outside the bathroom. Again, it had oral and straight only but wasn't too bad with some actual warmth at times. The sex was largely oral but also had some straight in it, with the technical limitations being the only real hang up for me.

Scene Three: Blue Room: D-David Stanley: Dayton, in a cheerleader outfit, took on football player Joey in the locker room. This scene was also short, containing oral and straight only but they tried some interesting positions (I liked the pile driver myself), and kept it fun. It ended when he coated her lovely face with semen, a lot of semen, and she rubbed his dick on that face.

Scene Four: Inside Sex 1: D-Casty Grant: Dayton, already beaming when the scene started, took care of Cheyne on a bed. There was a lot of oral by both of them and then she got very vocal when he started screwing her pussy. It ended when he rubbed out a load onto her ass but it had a bunch of warm moments where I thought they were both having a great time.

Scene Five: The Black Room: D-David Stanley: Dayton and Eric had a scene in a poorly lit garden. Like the other scenes here, the sex was mostly oral, with some vaginal, and a condom. It wasn't great but I did kind of like the change of pace (I just wish a more capable director could have had a shot at it since shooting in poor lighting is something very few can do without messing it up).

Scene Six: The Watcher 16: D-Robby D.: Dayton, Topanga, and Dale had a scene that started off with the ladies doing each other in a living room. Raylene was filming them and Dale stepped in to get in on some action so they all swapped spit and licked one another, with Topanga (looked like Belladonna with cropped blonde hair to me) getting the first boning of merit. It was a pretty good scene.

Scene Seven: Heaven's Revenge: D-Paul Thomas: Dayton, looking slightly out of focus, started off by blowing Ian in a large kitchen. He then screwed her (she rode him in cowgirl position) for a few moments until they swapped positions a few times and he jerked off a pretty good load on her abdomen.

Scene Eight: The Jungle: D-Cody: Dayton, Cassidy, and Venus all had a lesbian scene in and around a lake. It was licking and fingers only but the trio looked to be having some fun, I just wish it lasted longer than it did since it seemed half finished when the camera faded out. The daisy chain was especially nice and it's a shame that Cody didn't join them.

Scene Nine: Delirium: D-Robby D.: Dayton and Pat had a scene on a table in front of some maroon curtains. She blew him with some vigor and he boned her fairly well but it just didn't work for my libido due to the reddish tint of the lighting and grain as well as other technical problems. Fans may appreciate that she took a bit of anal here but it was very slow and he hardly went inside her ass before jerking off onto her chest.

Scene Ten: The Game: D-Toni English: Dayton and Tony had a scene on a motel room bed. I liked how they started out by kissing and engaging in some foreplay, even though it didn't last very long, and the oral was pretty good too, but I really didn't think the couple had much chemistry with one another this time. On a mechanical level, it was performed decently enough (both of them were sexual experts) but it just didn't click for me.

Summary: Vivid Girl Confidential: Dayton is one of those Vivid compilations that are designed specifically for fans of the star, Dayton. I like Dayton a lot myself, most recently in Dayton's Late Night, but this compilation wasn't my favorite from the folks at Vivid. If you haven't seen any of her other compilations, you might enjoy it more but otherwise Skip It in favor of a better one. Keep in mind that a number of scenes were duplicated in other compilations and the technical limitations bothersome.
