John Duff Wants To "Be Your Girl"

Hottie John Duff wants to "Be Your Girl," your bop for the summer. If you love Tom Jones, Cher, and Frank Sinatra, you'll love this. And now he's got the remix. It's a 1940's inspired tune that's a bit romantic that will melt your heart and also turn you on.

Duff tells us “In today’s modern world, when so many queer artists are releasing authentically queer music, I thought it would be fun to retroactively go back and design a legacy artist that never got a chance to exist. In this song, I’m imagining a classic-that-never-happened from the point of view of a queer artist-that-never-was.”

John Duff has been in the biz for a long time and talks openly about having to compete in this oversaturated market of music and influencers. We love every time he does everything, especially when he's being so vulnerable and adorable...and showing that butt.

The video was created after he studied Busby Berkley films. Talk about glamour and theatre, and he's done it all with creating the choreography, the vision, the aesthetic.

Duff grew up outside of Baltimore, Maryland, and is the youngest of two sisters and a brother. He talks about being bullied in school and instead of letting it victimize him, he's used it to double down and live his authentic self through his music.

"The world will never be safe - even nature wants to kill you. I'm lucky that I was able to understand the risk I was assuming in living authentically. Words are not scary."

John is a musical theatre nerd as well (can he be any hotter?) and spent some time in NYC. He did theatre and even got into trouble with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber for doing a hybrid of the musical Cats and...The Kardashians. They had to close the show.

John has kept us clamoring for more with his viral musical videos, including "House on Fire" and "Hokie Pokie." He mixes in influences from Britney to Elvis.

"Be Your Girl" is his first single for his upcoming concept album. It's going to be a mix of musicianship and nostalgia and Duff says it's going to be a throwback to old-fashioned music-making. And we can't wait.

We love queer artists who continue to make music the way that John does. We also love his personality and...his butt. LOL.
