Fire Island Pines Kicks-off Its 2024 Summer Season
The iconic Fire Island Pines revs up for summer and is ready to kick it into gear! Fire Island Pines became the place for gay men to congregate in 1952 when homosexual laws were still on the books prohibiting men from dancing together or engaging in gay acts. The island became a safe space for gay men from all over the world. It has also become the gay place for A-list celebrities to gather and play. The white sandy beaches, the flora and fauna, the charming architecture, and the expansive boardwalks make this a must-visit destination for the summer.

It truly is an LGBTQIA+ paradise that rests on the shoulders of its forefathers and foremothers who fought tirelessly for the protections and rights that we enjoy today. We celebrate them. It is why every day on Fire Island Pines is Gay Pride.”
