Our duo dive into the development of a movie about Santos at HBO Films, describing it as a forensic and darkly comedic look at his congressional race. They speculate on who could play Santos in the film and make comparisons to other TV shows like Succession and Drag Race.

They go on to chat about money laundering and a copyright lawsuit involving the film Ad Astra. Of course, they have to mention the TV show Ozark as a brief explanation of money laundering. They shift to the copyright lawsuit against Disney and 20th Century Studios brought by Madison Jones, a production executive. Jones claimed that the studios stole ideas from his screenplay titled Cosmic Force. Our sassy lawyers discuss the requirements for proving copyright infringement and note that the lawsuit was dismissed because Jones did not respond to questions.

Blue and Dextra also dive into the topic of intellectual property theft in the entertainment industry. They discuss the challenges of proving access to submitted materials and the potential invasion of privacy during the discovery process. They mention a specific legal case where the plaintiff failed to respond to questions, leading to the dismissal of the case.  Tune in!
