Hometown:

Orange County, CA.

Current City:

Los Angeles, CA.

Birthday and age:

April Baby. 26!

Single or taken:

Taken.

Go-Go name:

Sol.

How did you get your name:

My grandma has always called me her sunshine growing up and she's always referred to my smile being as bright as the sun. I also tend to think of myself as someone who brings warmth into a room and knows how to get people to smile. So why not bring some of that light into the night-life?

When did you start go-go dancing and what got you into it:

I actually got discovered. I attended Long Beach Pride back in 2019 and someone took a picture of me that went viral on some article. Someone from West Hollywood who was a promoter for a club ended up finding me on Instagram and messaged me. Unfortunately, things were not moving as fast as I would like—so I ended up walking straight into a bar in West Hollywood and asked for a manager. I told the manager that if given the chance, I could be the best go-go dancer he employed. I was given an audition and hired all at once. I always joked around about becoming a dancer, but in a way, I manifested it for myself.

Favorite styles of music and artists to dance to:

My favorite style of music in general is R&B. Anything R&B will automatically get my body moving. My favorite artists are Boyz II Men, Jazmine Sullivan, and Kehlani. I listen to everything though—dance and music is my life. I'll jump around from many artists and many styles of music, but R&B is on ALL DAY.

Venues & parties you dance at:

I'm happy and lucky to say that I've been extending my list of venues. I dance all around West Hollywood including Rocco's, Beaches, Heart, Micky's, etc. I travel to Las Vegas and dance at Charlie's from time to time. I've been working this gig as a merman model at Hotel Ziggy for Hotterpop. I also dance at Otterpop at the Silverlake Lounge. I'm downtown as well at Precinct and Redline. You can also catch me in Palm Springs at Chill Bar.

Favorite thing to wear while dancing:

Anything that allows my ass to be out. If I can't shake my ass freely in it, I don't want it. I love a good thong or jock. Anything from Cellblock13 is good for me.

Favorite part of your body:

I would say my favorite part of my body is my legs. They have single-handedly become the strongest part of my body in the last couple of months. Thick Thighs Save Lives. It also helps my ass grow so it's a win-win situation for everyone!

What's your signature dance move:

A good ol’ booty jiggle gets the guys riled up.

Have you ever hooked up with a club patron?

Yes, I have and I have no regrets. Especially being a single go-go dancer and coming across thousands of people constantly—as long as you're safe, not hurting anyone, getting tested, and there's consent—HAVE AS MUCH FUN AS YOU WANT.

Have you ever hooked up with another dancer?

I try not to mix my dating life with my dancer life because I've seen some amazing people go through some unfortunate things.

Your biggest pet peeve when people are tipping you:

I think it's very disrespectful when someone tells me to "work for my dollar." They'll literally stand in front of you with a $1 bill and keep telling you to dance or they just won't tip you until they feel like you've "done enough." It's a very degrading thing to have to experience for your first time because it's almost unreal how much of a power trip people can have when it comes to this sort of entertainment.

Your biggest pet peeve about working with other go-go boys:

We are all on the same team. It's all about respect.

What advice would you give to a new go-go dancer?

JUST HAVE FUN. Misery loves company, especially in a highly competitive space. People are going to judge you, you're going to have to deal with multiple personalities, other dancers who don't think you're good enough, promoters who think you're either too femme or not muscular enough, intoxicated people... the list goes on. Now, with all that said, none of that should stop you from pursuing dancing. As long as you have fun and really enjoy yourself, people will notice. The gigs will come. The money will flow. The friends will be made. It all starts with you though and your attitude.

Favorite thing about being a go-go boy:

I love all the random gigs I get to do. I'll be in LA one week, Las Vegas the next, and then I'm coming back to Hollywood to be a mermaid. Anything can happen in this world.

What do you like to do when you’re not go-go dancing?

I'm at the gym a lot of the time or usually watching anime with my boyfriend. If I'm not alone or working, I'm with my love.

What do you love about the city you live in?

I love how eccentric and lively it is. You never know who you'll come across in LA and that's one of the most beautiful things about this city. Everyone comes here with a different purpose in mind for themselves and it's so interesting to have conversations with so many different people who are all trying to accomplish one thing: their dreams. In a city that can be grungy and dirty at times—people are always a constant reminder of how much beauty can be found on these uneven sidewalks.

Hobbies:

I'm definitely a creative. I love DIY things. I recently constructed this raised reading nook in my apartment with a piece I thrifted. Creating and building things by hand is one of the most rewarding I've done. Whether it's clothes, furniture, or tools, my brain is always creating.

Your hidden talent:

I can rollerblade very well and very fast. I used to compete in speed competitions when I was younger.

Last TV show you binge-watched:

The last show I binge-watched was The Legend of Vox Machina. 10/10

Top 3 favorite movies:

My favorite movies are:

  1. Titanic
  2. The Bob's Burgers Movie
  3. The Harder They Fall

Perfect romantic date:

I want an experience along with an amazing dinner/view. Something with a lot of thought put in and tailored to interests of mine.

Favorite sex position:

It's all about eye contact and mirrors. That's all I'm saying.

Celebrity crush:

My celebrity crush is Megan Thee Stallion. I saw her at LA Pride and she was everything and more.
