Jordan Jayro’s Drag Race All Stars Season 8 Recap: Episode 10, The Letter “L”

Hello! It's time for another recap of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars! Last week was the Roast of Carson Kressley, with Jimbo at the top and Alexis Michelle being sent home! Now let's get into this week's episode! The queens are back in the werk room after Alexis Michelle’s elimination. Finally, Jimbo wins a lip sync! And she now has four challenge wins!! That rarely ever happens! But that doesn’t guarantee a win! It has happened in the past where a queen won four challenges and did not win the season. So anything can happen! It’s time to look at the lipsticks! It appears that everyone chose Alexis! Kandy said that she chose Alexis even though she had an alliance with her because Alexis went against Lala Ri the week before. I would do the same thing!

Will alliances pave the way to the crown or is there still some betrayal in the air?

At last, it is a new day in the werk room! The queens (all three of them) enter the werk room with confetti! Yayyyyy! There’s a video message from RuPaul that is filled with painting references. I wonder what that could mean! Ru enters the werk room and tells the queens that for this week’s mini-challenge, the queens must transform themselves into Jean Paul Gaultier perfume bottles! And they have 45 minutes! No quick drag here! They did a cute little photoshoot and pitched their fragrance. Jessica Wild wins the mini challenge and a cash prize of $2,500! Then Ru tells the queens that they will be putting a group of fierce lesbians into drag! It's the makeover challenge!

RuPaul does a walk-through with the queens and tells them that they will also have to perform a lip sync with their daughters! The queens do a great job acting surprised. It’s not like this always happens! Literally, every makeover challenge has a lip sync twist. It looks as though Jimbo is struggling with her daughter, even though she is the most traditionally feminine of all the daughters. It is really fun watching these girls try to rehearse their performances. Drag is hard! Queens make it look easy, but it is anything but!

Let’s talk about this runway! First up is Jessica Wild and her daughter Kitty Wild! I wish the outfits were more similar besides the silhouette. Of course, I would have loved a nicer shoe on her daughter, but I know she was not feeling the heels.

Next is Jimbo and her daughter, Sissy Delicious! I love the hair! I like that it’s the same style but in contrasting colors. And the slutty little dresses are cute. I wish I could see the original clown looks Jimbo had planned. It was an homage to her Canada’s Drag Race entrance look.

Last but not least is Kandy Muse and her daughter Kookie Muse! These two were the best in my opinion! I loved that their dresses were almost identical but with opposite color blocking. The hair and makeup was amazing! She’s my top this week! Jessica unfortunately is a bottom for me.

Kandy is the top All-Star of the week! That means Jimbo and Jessica are the bottom two queens this week. This is Jimbo’s first time in the bottom! And she has four challenge wins! Will Kandy be shady and pull Jimbo’s lipstick? First, she has to lip sync against a super secret lip sync assassin! And that person is revealed to be… Priyanka! They lip-sync to “Jumpin’ Jumpin’” by Destiny’s Child! This one was close! But in the end, Priyanka won the lipsync! It is revealed that there was a tie! This means that Kandy must choose which queen will sashay away. And that queen was… Jessica Wild! I’m so sad to see her go! But it would have been unconstitutional to send Jimbo home with her track record.
