How did you get your drag name?
My drag name is Misty G Quartz, it's inspired by Steven Universe. I wanted to be my own Crystal Gem. So I chose Mystic Quartz, which is a regular Quartz gem that has a specific coating on it, that makes it reflect rainbows. Which is a metaphor for drag. Also, Quartz represents Power! And the G is Glamour.
How long have you been doing drag?
I've been doing drag for 5 years now.
When is your birthday? How old are you?
My birthday is August 26th, I am 27 years old. VIRGO!
Relationship status?
I am in a 9, almost 10-year relationship with the most amazing guy I could ever ask for.

What was your first time in drag like?
My first time in drag was July 20, 2017. Me and my besties got dressed up and looked a mess and went down to Little Tokyo at like 12-2 am and just felt the fantasy and talked to strangers.
What made you want to start drag?
I started drag because I’m addicted to glamour and I love fashion. Men’s fashion is so boring so I wanted to just partake in this beautiful queer art form. I was a digital artist who drew drag queens for a while, and one day I decided I needed to put the art on my own face!
Who inspires your drag (celebrities, other queens, etc.)?
My drag inspirations are Amanda Lepore, Hello Kitty, Raja, my mother, Marilyn Monroe, surprise dolls, and RuPaul herself.
Favorite song/artist to lip-sync to?
My favorite artist to lip-sync to would have to be me! I have my own original music and I have such a good time when I get to perform my own stuff. Other than that, I love “Levitating” by Dua Lipa.

Have you ever hooked up in drag?
I have never hooked up in drag. I don't know if I ever will, drag is uncomfortable. Well, mine is.
What’s your favorite thing about drag?
My favorite thing about drag is creating the vision in my head all by myself and then the transformation, feeling the fantasy and the makeup!!
What are your hobbies outside of drag?
My hobbies outside of drag… I love playing video games, roller skating, swimming, shopping, & doll collecting.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve witnessed in a dressing room?
The craziest thing I’ve witnessed in a dressing room was probably seeing Sasha Colby butt naked, or seeing someone do coke off someone’s hand after they used the restroom and didn’t wash their hands.

Biggest pet peeve about working with other drag queens?
My biggest pet peeve about working with queens is competition/jealousy. I don't like queens who hate when others win. When you put in the work, it will be your time baby. You don't gotta be a hater!
Biggest pet peeve about audiences in nightclubs?
My biggest pet peeve about audiences in clubs, getting on stage in the middle of the number, or standing in the front but not tipping the entertainers.
Any advice for someone wanting to start drag?
My biggest advice for someone just starting drag. Have fun, drag is so unserious, and you will get better at makeup with practice if you wanna get good.
