Jordan Jayro’s Drag Race Season 15 Recap: Episode 7, The Daytona Wind 2

The queens are back in the werk room after Robin’s elimination, and it appears the song choice drama is not over. Mistress was in the top, so she missed all the drama in Untucked. She says she heard something happened and wanted to know what it was. Malaysia is giving her the silent treatment and Mistress is mad that she doesn’t even want to work through whatever is upsetting her. The challenge is over and they’re all still in the competition, so I wish they’d just move on already.

The next day in the werk room, RuPaul and his chanclas tell the queens that they will be starring in the reboot of The Daytona Winds!! If you saw last season, this was the challenge where they acted in a scene and fart sounds were added in post. It was definitely interesting, but I’m hoping this season’s version will be better. Obviously, there won’t be fart noises again. Or will there?! Apparently this year it will be a sitcom format. I’m not really sure what that means. Maybe a laugh track? As the winner of last week’s maxi challenge, Aura gets to assign the roles. What could possibly go wrong??

All the queens want the role of Fancy! However, Aura decides she wants that role for herself. I would have brought in a kiddie pool full of mud and let them fight it out. That's just like an audition, right? Mistress and Malaysia somehow end up in the same group… I can’t wait to see how this turns out! The girls are reading through their scripts in the werk room and Aura is not serving this role at all!! Mistress somehow coerces her into switching roles with her!! She just scammed her way into taking the leading role from the queen who specifically gave it to herself. That is fierce. Interestingly enough, Aura doesn’t seem to do well in her new role. But I’m not convinced she would have done well in any role. No shade. But also very much shade.

It’s time for the runway!!! Sasha Colby once again slayed this week! Even though she wore a similar jacket that Selena made and ended up in the bottom for wearing. Which to me proves that she didn’t deserve to be in the bottom that week anyway. Also, Mistress looked gorgeous!! I loved her look. I was not obsessed with Loosey or Jax on the runway this week. Jax needed a panty!!! And Loosey needed a miracle!!!

It’s time for the world premiere of The Daytona Wind, part two! Luckily they didn’t try the fart bit again. The ant infestation storyline didn’t make any sense to me. As expected, Malaysia and Mistress were hilarious! Things took a turn when Marcia’s character fed them all brownies with daddy’s ashes in them! Everyone got sick with the farts! Then Danny Trejo storms in at the very end for some reason. I love it!

Mistress Isabelle Brooks is the winner of this week’s maxi challenge!! She finally gets a win!! I’m so happy for her!! While the safe queens were untucking, Loosey was saying how upset she was to be safe. I love her, but a white leotard and a duster? In the top?!? I don't think. Every season has the one girl who cries about being safe and I guess this year it's her. The bottom two queens this week are Aura Mayari and Jax. They lip sync to Sweetest Pie by Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion. I was so over it when Aura took her puffer off and had just those heart pasties on. Girl no. There are certain rules that we know to be true in a lip sync: keep your shoes on, don't play dirty, and if you're going to remove a piece of clothing for mobility reasons, you better have something interesting underneath! A bra would have been just fine! That being said, I can watch Jax lip sync every week. And who knows?? Maybe we will! Jax is the winner of this lip sync and Aura Mayari is eliminated.

That’s all for this week! Next week is a Lip Sync LaLaPaRUza! I swear that’s how it’s spelled on google! This is going to be good! I know we have some really great lip sync performers on this season. And some not-so-great ones as well! I can't WAIT to see how this turns out! You’re not going to want to miss it! So come back next week to see what happens!!
