Homophobic Republican Aaron Schock Comes Out As Gay, #Schocking

How much room do you have in your heart for a formerly homophobic congressman freshly self-outed and looking for LGBTQ acceptance? Sadly with everything going on in the world right now I'm fresh out of fucks, but maybe one of you guys can lend Aaron Schock on of yours! He's an Illinois congressman who spent years rallying against pro-LGBTQ policies. Via Buzzfeed News:

During his six years in Congress representing Illinois, Schock consistently voted against policies supported by the LGBTQ community, including the 2010 repeal of "don't ask, don't tell," which allowed gay and bisexual people to openly serve in the military, and the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act.

Although (as commenter gaelic.dick reminded us) the Dark Gay Web (including Fleshbot) has commented on Aaron Schock's plausible homosexuality for literally over a decade, Schock just finally came out as gay in a lengthy Instagram post.

One of Aaron's biggest fears is that he won't be accepted by the gay community in light of his policymaking record.

Where was I, they will ask, when I was in a position to help advance issues important to gay Americans. No one gets to choose when we learn our lives’ big lessons.

Not only is Aaron a 'mo, he's the kind of 'mo who says things like "Where was I, they will ask." #Bottom.
