Queer Abby: I Fucked My Roommate, And Now He Doesn’t Want Me To Fuck Other Guys

So I have a roommate that moved in the with me three months ago. About two weeks into us living together, we ended up hooking up. We agreed it was just a friends with benefits thing. But since then he has become increasingly weird about me bringing other guys over to fuck.  What’s your take on this?  Do I need to ask him to leave?

For as much as we promise - to our partners, as well as to ourselves - emotional detachment following a hookup, there's no possible way to guarantee not catching feelings for someone. And it sounds to me like your poor roommate caught a case of the feels for you. It might just be a crush, but the hookup - for however much it was contextualized as a "friends with benefits things"-  carried more weight for him than it did for you. And he's crushing hard enough to feel pangs of jealousy when you fuck other guys.

With that said, I believe that all relationships - romantic, friendship, professional, etc. - have some sort of unwritten contract. Your friendship contract (not to mention roommate contract, which is an actual, real-life tangible contract) with this guy dictated that you would hook up and still live together amicably as friends. If he can no longer uphold his end of the bargain, it would be in his best interest (who wants to wake up to unrequited feelings every day?) to move and avoid seeing you "bringing other guys over to fuck." I would give him an out. And I would be sympathetic. Tell him that if he can no longer live comfortably and happily as your roommate, you would be open to the idea of him subleasing his space. Even if he doesn't move out, this very well might sober him up, and help him realize that you are serious about not pursuing a romantic relationship. Leaving you free to fuck in peace. Good luck!
