Happy Trails, Spencer Quest

There's something to be said for calling it quits at the top of one's game: official Fleshbot Dream Daddy-In-Perpetuity Gus Mattox bid adieu to the skin biz right after winning Best Actor honors at the GAYVN Awards last year, and now we hear that official Fleshbot Dream Daddy-In-Training Spencer Quest is retiring on the eve of this year's awards ceremony, in which he's nominated for Best Sex Scene, Best Supporting Actor, and Performer of the Year (and in the midst of a well-publicized stint in rehab, which he's discussed candidly in his blog over the past few months): "I'm extremely proud of the work I've done. Extremely. And I'm even more proud to have made La Dolce Vita my last film. It's a work of art. I'm not saying that I will be leaving the industry for good; who knows, I may end up behind the camera, behind a script, or in a non-sexual cameo role. But my place in front of the camera, fully exposed, is no longer necessary or an option." In the meantime (since it's all about us, you know), we're currently accepting applications for porn papas who plan on sticking around for a while; interested parties should send us a selection of photos, a description of your qualifications, and copies of your most recent bank statements and earnings reports. (OK, we're not totally serious about that last part. But hey, it couldn't hurt.) Here's wishing Spencer all the best no matter where those trails take him in life.
