Ok, that's a bit of an overstatement, but it was announced yesterday that video-on-demand providers AEBN/NakedSword and content provider Raging Stallion Studios merged. What does that mean for you?
Well, absolutely nothing, you hairy-palmed, blind pervert, but it sure is an intriguing arrangement. "Raging Stallion will continue to operate the same way it always has," AEBN honcho Scott Coffman told XBiz. He continues that the studio will be able to help the various and sundried production studios under the AEBN umbrella and that Raging Stallion will benefit from the extra promotional reach that the VOD company can provide. Logan McCree will remain a walking work of art and will still get fucked on camera for Raging Stallion, so we're all happy!
What we find interesting is that this may be the first new age gay porn company. As DVD sales begin to dwindle and porn goes more and more toward the Internet, it's going to take a company that can provide both the old-school movie-making saavy of the big production companies along with the accessibility and easy access of the online/"amateur" companies in order to survive. So far, most of the big studios have been doing a good job of adjusting, but this merger definitely makes the company one of the biggest and best positioned in the industry-and in gay porn, nothing matters more than size and position.
