There’s A Hot New Congressional Candidate In Town Stirring Up More Than Trouble

We're all so tired of these old men who have been in politics since 1776 always telling us what to do. They regulate everything from alcohol to dildos (yes, those) and we just sit back and let them. Thanks to newcomers like Benjamin Thomas Wolf, the progressive candidate running for Congress in Illinois' 5th District, which includes Chicago, things could be getting a whole lot better. 

Wolf hasn't bothered beating around the bush with his campaign strategy. He definitely got people talking this week when he shared a campaign ad that shows him smoking a joint. Why didn't Hillary think of that?!

"As a cannabis user, I think it’s important we get out front and talk about it," he told the Chicago Sun-Times. "We realize that cannabis can bring billions of dollars to the state, it’s medicine for millions of people around the country, it changes criminal justice reform and personally I think it’s a wonderful recreational substance as well."

In the tweet, that garnered more than 10,000 likes, Wolf is shown smoking a blunt while telling his hopefully-soon-to-be constituents to get out and vote on March 20. One user replied: "I fucking love you man. thank you for protecting our trees." Wolf's response: "You are welcome. Our trees need protecting. I love all of you too. Lets do this together. Its our time. - Wolf". 

As far as Congressional candidates go, he's definitely one of the better ones to look at - not that there's much competition. With his Mad Men-esque style and Clark Kent-type demeanor, Wolf is surely making his mark.
