Dolly Parton Surprises Us with New Music!

The Queen of Country and gay icon Dolly Parton gave US a present on her birthday. What power bottom doesn't like to receive? Thank you, Dolly!

One of our favorite girls turned 78...yes 78! (Gurl, we need your surgeon's phone number.) To mark the special day she released nine new tracks overnight to make her latest album, Rockstar, truly deluxe. We know it's for everyone, but we like to think she did it just for her gays.

Rockstar, originally released in November, is Dolly's 49th solo studio album, and her first rock album ever. The album is a mix of mostly covers with some original music thrown in. She collabs with some of music's most legendary singers as well as today's biggest stars. It really is a great album and there's A LOT of music to take in. We love her energy, her grit, and her interpretations of rock's most well-known songs. She was inspired to do the album because of her induction into the Rock Hall of Fame in 2022.

The album has been a hit. It is her most successful debut ever and her first album to top Billboard's Top Album Sales chart and ranked #3 on the Billboard 200 list, and #1 on the Country AND Rock & Alternative charts. You go, girl! She sounds fantastic and we can't stop listening.
