Gay (and *Hot AF*) Wrestler Anthony Bowens Set to Make History!

Society is (mostly) evolving faster than ever, and nowhere is that more evident than in the world of sports. On September 21, pro wrestler Anthony Bowens is competing as part of the wrestling duo "The Acclaimed" with the hopes of him becoming the first gay champion in All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Bowens and wrestling partner Platinum Max Caster (who is straight, and we love that journey for him or whatevs), will square off in a rematch against current tag-team champs Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland of "Swerve in Our Glory" in the AEW Dynamite and Rampage - Grand Slam 2022.

The match will take place at the historic Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, and is going to be aired on TBS at 8 pm. The event will also mark a long journey to the top for Bowens who previously auditioned for the WWE in 2015 and was turned down, being told it was due to his personality. He decided to take some acting lessons and after polishing his craft more and more, he finally signed with the AEW in 2020.

Bowens and "The Acclaimed" shot right to the top and have been one of the biggest fan-fave duos in the industry. Bowens also has an incredibly successful catchphrase ("Scissor Me Daddy Ass", because duh) that also became the fastest-selling T-shirt in the AEW's history.⁠ Before going pro, Bowens was part of an indie wrestling duo called the "Alpha Males" (woof) along with Damian Gibbs.

From NJ originally, the 5'10" adonis clocks in at 205 lbs of pure muscle and is UNFORTUNATELY taken. He and his boyfriend, Michael Pavano, have been together for several years now after first meeting on Instagram. So if you've been wondering whether or not you should slide into that one guy's DMs... the answer is clearly to shoot your shot! And as much as I'm jelly, the two are incredibly cute together.
