Betty’s Boys: The Many Hot Men Who Surrounded Queen Betty White

Ringing in the new year was bittersweet after we heard about the passing of American icon Betty White on December 31st. Now her extraordinary life and career is being celebrated with a new hour-long documentary streaming on Hulu, Celebrating Betty White: America's Golden Girl. Gays loved Betty for so many reasons. She was funny, sassy, sweet, talented, and adorable. We related all too closely to her bitchy vamp Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Then all of our beloved Grandmas seemed to combine into one person with Rose Nylund on every good gay man’s favorite show, The Golden Girls.

But then there was something about Betty that we not only loved but maybe envied.  BETTY WHITE ALWAYS SEEMED SURROUNDED BY SO MANY HOT GUYS!

Ryan Reynolds

Betty starred opposite Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock in the hit comedy The Proposal in 2009. We loved Betty in this, but we also loved seeing Ryan’s gorgeous nude body on display!

Dan Cortese

Even in her 90s, Betty had another hit TV show with Hot in Cleveland. In a hilarious locker room scene, Betty’s character Elka gets to cup a feel of the rock-hard chest of Dan Cortese wearing nothing but a towel. Damn Betty! We're jealous!

Jay Harrington

Another hunk who worked with Betty on Hot in Cleveland was hockey-player-turned-actor Jay Harrington. Jay, and his ripped body, played Valerie Bertinelli’s boyfriend Alec for 11 episodes of the show and was shirtless for many of them. As he should be!

Alex Pettyfer

Hunky English actor Alex Pettyfer presented an award with Betty at the 2013 GLAAD Awards. Betty played the "I'm an old lady who can get away with anything” card gave Alex an impromptu peck.  You go girl!

Allan Ludden

Ok, he might not have been the hottest, but if he was good enough for Betty, Allan Ludden is good enough for us. The legendary game show host was married to Betty for 18 years and after his passing from cancer in 1981, Betty would always refer to him as the love of her life.
