The boy confesses that he hates calling adults, but that he needs to get some information about an upcoming sports ball competition he’s participating in.

The recently summoned Lawson James is unimpressed by the timidity of his non-biological offspring. “Look, stepson,” he observes. “You’re going to have to learn to do these things yourself.”
