Checking In With Adult Time’s Modern-Day Sins Creator 3X West

PORNSTARS

Sin Wins Over at Modern-Day Sins!

Modern-Day Sins is Fleshbot's Best Paysite winner Adult Time's latest brand and it is fucking cool. It is a pansexual brand--gay, straight, trans scenes all happen as part of the porno offerings--so there truly is something for everyone here in these dirty scenes all themed around the seven deadly sins. The series featured within the brand include Cum Gluttons, Proud Pervs, Greedy Creampies, Mad Fuckers, Anal Envy, Idle Fantasies and Lust Triangles. I talked to Adult Time's Head Of Pre-Production 3X West about this new brand and why you might want to check it on out.

Hello, 3X and happy new year! How are things?

"Happy new year to you too, and thanks! Things are better (and busier) than ever - we just launched our new studio on January 1st, which has been a whirlwind of excitement for us, and we've also been ramping up content on the Adult Time platform to release several new pilots, prototypes, and even full series in early 2022. Some of them are already live, and have been big hits so far - which is always a treat to see. The best thing about launching new projects is when you succeed at scratching an itch that fans were begging to have scratched, to me that's the greatest hallmark of a good product."

Congrats on the release of the new Modern-Day Sins channel! How has the response been from the viewers?

"So far the response has been encouraging! We have been monitoring the launch very closely - looking at sales, views, comments, survey responses, you name it. It's still early, but the initial results are promising and based on what we've seen we feel quite confident that Modern-Day Sins is gonna grow into a juggernaut over the coming year. Even the criticisms we've seen have been pretty constructive and will help us make some tweaks as the project continues to develop. We're taking lots of notes!"

What inspired creating a channel themed around the seven deadly sins?

"When we first started discussing our ideas for our next studio, we knew we wanted to go BIG. We had a lot of concepts for things we knew fans wanted more of, but many of the more exciting ones didn't really fit well with each other, or were hard to tie together into one cohesive package. That's when we had the idea to create a unifying theme that could help us group multiple unrelated sex acts and stories under one umbrella, with a consistent aesthetic and brand narrative that would make the content look and feel recognizable even when part of different series. And as we continued to explore down that path further, the seven deadly sins felt like a natural fit for the theme - we wanted something iconic, easily recognizable, and evocative of drama and scandal. It was a match made in Hell!"

The series is being directed by Bree Mills, Ricky Greenwood and others. How did it come about to have multiple directors on this channel? Was it to get different visions of the topic?

"We want Modern-Day Sins to withstand the test of time. That's not always easy to do for anything, but especially not when you put all your eggs in one basket. The adult industry is always changing - including its people - and that means that you have to be prepared for anything to happen at any time. For fans, it can be a huge letdown if their favorite channels are suddenly missing that "secret sauce" they've always loved that kept them coming back. So we want to do right by our fans and try our best to keep that from happening, by working with multiple talented directors on developing a style they all know how to emulate. That way no matter what the future may hold, we can hope to keep Modern-Day Sins going strong, while still staying recognizable to our day-one backers."

This is also a pansexual channel. Why did you choose to go that route?

"When you think about most industries, big brands are universally recognizable. If three people start talking about McDonald's, or Amazon, or Nike, chances are all three of them will know the product and have had their own encounters with the brand over the course of their lives. But with the adult industry, there's an unfortunate divide (sexuality) that gets in the way of having a shared cultural understanding across different consumers. A straight person probably has never heard of "Falcon" even though it's one of the longest-running gay porn brands, and a gay man probably doesn't know what "Girlsway" is even though most gay women probably do. This prevents our brands from getting as much exposure as they could, because only a fraction of the population has ever heard of them. We want to change this, to make Adult Time and its brands known and beloved by everyone regardless of backgrounds or preferences. This might not be possible for all our legacy brands (some series like Girlsway or Transfixed have their identities too deeply rooted in specific sexual preferences) but when developing new projects we are going to think much more critically about naming and conceptualizing series that can appeal to multiple audiences. Modern-Day Sins was the first to be planned and named with that approach in mind, but it won't be the last! I'd say more than half of the projects we release in 2022 are going to be designed this way, and even release with multiple scenes (across multiple preferences) to show off their versatility right away!"

What about the channel do you think will surprise viewers the most?

"I think, or at least I hope, viewers might do a double-take with some of the raunchier sex we plan to include especially as our release catalog expands over time. Usually these kinds of dramatic, "soap opera"-esque kinds of porn have very vanilla sex - I can list about 7 or 8 examples of sites like that just off the top of my head. It's rare to see stuff like group sex, double-penetrations, anal creampies, and the like occur in that kind of content... and we're hoping to stand out as a result. We really want to exaggerate that contrast between elegant, luxurious style vs. wild, debaucherous substance. We're hoping to turn more than a few heads that way!"

What is your favorite scene on the channel so far?

"My answer changes from day to day because they're all so special to me, haha! But one of the ones I think really puts the channel's best foot forward is "Cum Gluttons: Sucking Up To The In-Laws" starring Bridgette B., Gianna Dior, and Rob Piper. To me, it has everything that Modern-Day Sins represents - luxurious visuals, high-energy sex, sizzling drama, and a diverse cast of top-tier performers bringing their A-game. Who could ask for anything more!"

What is your favorite sin? :)

"Gluttony in the streets, sloth in the sheets! A burger and a nap would be my idea of a perfect Sunday afternoon."

What else is coming up from Adult Time? What can members look forward to with Modern-Day Sins and other channels?

"Modern-Day Sins was our biggest release for 2022 but it's going to set the stage for a lot of other exciting projects throughout the year, many of which expand on some of what Modern-Day Sins started. For example, the idea of launching multi-sexuality projects is a big focus for us this year, and we have several pilots in the pipeline where we'll be releasing one straight, lesbian, and trans episode all at once to gauge interest across several audiences simultaneously. We've got a new pilot launching every month, so we're going to be experimenting with a lot of new concepts and testing the water for other ideas to turn into full-blown series if they're popular enough. We've also increased the amount of original productions releasing on our platform - just between Modern-Day Sins and the aforementioned pilots that's an extra 9-10 releases each month, but we also have added about 6-8 other releases monthly from a variety of new and returning channels that fans will have to look forward to starting in January. So even if Modern-Day Sins wasn't your cup of tea, there's a whole lot of new and exciting stuff in 2022 that's sure to catch your attention!"

Is there anything that you would like to say to the Adult Time fans here at Fleshbot?

"It's always a pleasure to connect with Fleshbot and its readers, and anyone out there who's enthusiastic about porn! At Adult Time we pride ourselves on being fans ourselves, and we hope that shows in the content we make. We truly believe in doing porn differently, so if you ever have any suggestions for how we can do this better, we'd love to hear them! Our comment sections, surveys, livechat, and feedback email are always bursting with passionate remarks from like-minded fans like you. Keep 'em coming!"
