A horny trip down our gay porn past revealed its wonderful self to us in this vintage erotic comic named "Dear Diary"—told entirely through photos. Three dudes from the '60s or early '70s wander into West Hollywood's Pleasure Chest sex shop and start playing with the toys. Then the campy fun begins...
How interesting to think that in the days before video, this was how gays got their narrative porn. If only we could find where these marvelous pages originated, which read like hardcore porn as written by Charles Nelson Reilly for Mad Magazine. Ya gotta love classic camp like one dude liking a guy's boots with a cartoon bubble saying, "Hush, Puppy." What's refreshing is the playful attitude the comic takes towards sex. The sex shop is their toy store, and these pals are having a grand ol' time trying all the treasures out on each other. An enterprising studio should steal this idea and make a feature film, one that isn't just blowjob-rimming-fucking, but a whole variety of amusingly erotic scenarios. What a graphically novel idea!
