Michael Lucas Always Find a Way to Get the Spotlight on Him

Michael Lucas took home only two minor trophies from the GayVNs, but made sure that everyone would be talking about him by picking beef with Brent Corrigan and having his boyfriend arrested.

And, of course, he had to send out a press release to brag about it! According to all accounts, Lucas rushed the stage during the ceremony and decried the nominating committee for allowing Corrigan to be up for so many trophies when he started his career as an . According to the Gay Porn Times, some in the audience booed Mr. Lucas while some applauded.

The drama didn't end there. According to Lucas' press release (really, this man doesn't fart without sending one out) :

At the after party, Corrigan's boyfriend came up to meand bumped his chest against mine...He then threatened that he was going to kill me and demand that we leave the club together immediately so that he could break my neck. The club's security swiftly came and separated him; he came back and told me that he will splash acid into my face, "which will be the end of your career." I called the police immediately when I reached the hotel and recalled to them what happened. The cops went to Corrigan's room, but the couple was still out partying elsewhere.

I called the police at 7:00 am, San Francisco time, as soon as I found out that they were back in their room (I simply called the room and Corrigan picked up the phone). The police were there within ten minutes. They talked to Corrigan and his boyfriend for about twenty minutes, and then handcuffed th eboyfriend and took him into custody.

Corrigan responded via his blog:

For those of you who are catching wind of a minor altercation with Michael Lucas and my boyfriend - More to come on that very soon. At this time it is important that all of you know whatever anyone has said or writtten has been blown completely out of proportion. I have and will continue to conduct myself regarding the matter in a civil and respectable manner.

The whole thing just seems badly timed for Lucas. Not only is Corrigan coming off the whole Brian Kochis murder trial thing, the man that had the most to lose from Corrigan performing at 17 was murdered and now Corrigan is a big star who is of age. Not only that, he won three trophies on Saturday night, which will only make Lucas look jealous, no matter if his point is valid or not.

But what we're most pissed about? We have to keep the Fleshbot Police Blotter going until this whole mess is worked out. Can't you boys just pull each others' weaves like drag queens and stop getting the cops involved? As soon as it becomes official, we have to do real reporting and that just makes us cranky.
