It sometimes seems like the whole adult industry is going the way of the barebacking film, but recently some defections from no-condom movies are starting to float to the surface.

First, we told you about Eurocreme souring over the bareback debate, and now gay porn and sex toy retailer AdamMale.com has stopped stocking condom-free videos. "We started selling bareback sex video titles in 2006 because it seemed our customers were demanding it," AdamMale's spokesperson Molly Fisher tells XBiz. "We felt pressured. But our group recently met as a team, and we all agreed: This just doesn't gel. And we never quite saw the sales with bareback [films]."

The conventional wisdom has always been that bareback sells and that people who don't offer them refuse only on moral grounds. For AdamMale, it appears that none of the 20 bareback movies they marketed would move. It's interesting to get an economic perspective on the whole debate.

Also stepping away from bareback is newly-minted porn star Leo Giamani, who did some scenes without condoms for Jake Cruise's "ethical barebacking" site Cocksure Men. "I was naive and looking back, I would have chosen not to do bareback—it was a mistake," Giamani told Steve Cruz, who directed him in Mustang's upcoming "Red Light." "I have not done a bareback film in almost six months. I am STD free and continue to get tested every 30 days. I also practice safe sex in my personal life." Well, Leo, whenever you're ready to fuck us, we got a bowl of condoms just sitting by our bed.
