2008 Blatino Erotica Awards Celebrate Diversity, Hot Pornstars In Swimsuits

While we've been deluged lately from nearly every corner of the award-obsessed gay porn business with press releases about the upcoming Grabbys and other events that very few people outside of the porn business give a hoot about, we somehow missed hearing anything about the Blatino Erotica Awards which took place in Palm Springs two weeks ago. Sure, they may have been as self-congratulatory as any gay porn awards show--but at least their scope included sexy writing and websites in addition to the usual lineup of pornstars, and it was great to see some Fleshbot favorites like Marc Williams (= Best Porn Star) and Mario Cruz (= America's Top Bottom) get some well-deserved recognition. Oh, and did we mention it took place in Palm Springs, which provided an excuse for some of the nominees to show up in tiny swimsuits? If only every porn awards ceremony had a dress code like that, we might actually get interested in them again.
