RIP Matt Sterling

If you came of age pornographically during the 80s and 90s like we did, chances are you have fond memories of the work of director Mass Sterling, whose titles including "A Matter Of Size" (1983), "The Bigger The Better" (1984), "Stryker Force" (1987) and "Idol Eyes" (1990) introduced the world to porn legends like Jeff Stryker and Ryan Idol and remain classics of their kind. GAYVN reports that Sterling, who continued to lend his name to productions with HUGE Video through last year's "A Matter Of Size 2", died today in Los Angeles; we'll be popping in our creaky old VHS copy of "Inch By Inch" tonight in his honor. They sure don't make them like that anymore. (VHS tapes, we mean, though most of Sterling's work holds up better after twenty plus years than many of the porn being produced today.) He will be missed.
