DLister of the Week: Daniel C.

Sweet and sexy, creative and dirty, everybody's favorite downtown NYC homo folk singer Daniel Cartier is the quintessential a-list DLister. He's the only person we can think of who, in the last year, has had an art exhibit, an upcoming show at Joe's Pub, and posed for Inches magazine. His music? According to Daniel, "A dusty brew of beat up folk guitars and old drum machines. Think Moby meets John Denver. Think Bronski Beat meets Tracy Chapman. Think Yaz meets the original cast of 'Godspell'. Think whatever you want. It's a free country. " His art? An incredible collection of bits and pieces of a whole year of his life, as told through scraps and garbage. And, uh, that whole "Inches" business? Let's just say that it's huge, and it's gorgeous—and if you ask nicely, he might show you his locked pictures.
