Can This Dude Stop Being a Cocktease?
Just show us the goods already, Cory Bond!
YouTube is nothing if not a repository for…
Ha. As if anything good could ever come from…
Is it Porn? Is it Art? Here’s a new entrant in the debate that’s been raging from Greek Urns to Robert Mapplethorpe. It’s artsy pornographic weirdness, in reverse! We’re hearing devilish voices in our head.
The below video is by Richert Schnorr, a go-go danceboy at The Hose in Manhattan. Aside from sexing up East Village hipsters, he’s a video artist with his own barebones, slightly confusing, but still kinda cool site. Lots of vids of him and friends stripteasing. Anywho, regarding the latest vid, in an interview with BUTT, Richert claims the video was pure erotic happenstance:
I’d planned to film the head shaving part, but the rest of it, the beginning, was an accident because our camera man (you see him in the mirror) forgot to turn off the camera. So what actually happened is we shaved my head and then all went up to fuck upstairs. Since it’s all reversed in the video, what you see at the beginning is us taking breaks from the fucking, and it works backwards from there.
We’re voyeurs in their candid, casual sex. Now, you’ll want to make this video fullscreen, since all the action happens artily in the mirror, which is too tiny in the smaller format. Watching makes horns start growing.
Some of our first crushes were on cartoon…
Barcelona-based illustrator Ricardo Fumanal’s drawings tend to focus on impossibly attractive European youth, the blurring between fantasy and reality, and collages juxtaposing fashion with corporeal physics. Or, in other words, he draws really hot guys that are out of this world and puts them in Givenchy or cool sunglasses occasionally. A contributing artist to magazines like Hercules, Marie Claire, and METAL, Fumanal (a complete babe all on his own, aged 24) is without a doubt an artist to watch. We’ve actually been stalking him on MySpace for a while, so we can vouch that it is indeed quite fun to do so.
Bible of all things nude, gay, beautiful, and dirty; BUTT Magazine, has recently expanded it’s website to include several new sections. Buttheads everywhere of varied size, girth, and stench can now purchase BUTT shirts with ease, browse through a gallery of party photos from the many now-infamous BUTT Beer Busts, and—in what is perhaps the greatest reflection of their esteemed printed matter—access the “pretty random” archive of front page images, often taken from the magazine itself, sent in by fans, or behind-the-scenes at steamy photo shoots.
Art and Porn have always had a torrid, on-again off-again love affair. And some of their offspring–Jean Genet’s “Chant d’Amour”, Andy Warhol’s “Blow Job” and John Cameron Mitchell’s “Shortbus” come to mind–have turned out to be lovely, well-formed creatures. Others? Not so much.
Now there’s a new generation of exhibitionist auteurs trying their hands at the artsy wank film, and while none of them have yet cranked out a pornic version of the Cremaster Cycle, some of their efforts are most promising. Pour yourself a glass of tawny port and join us to watch some of our favorite artistic high and low points from the Xtube scene after the jump, won’t you?
