COVID-2020 has given us all plenty of time to explore our interests, and apparently my biggest interest is a shirtless nymphomaniac part-time construction worker from a little town known as Bon Temps. Last week I realized that, while way back in the day I caught some later episodes of True Blood with a boyfriend, I never watch the first (and best) seasons! And honestly, how dare I. Like, who tf do I think I am?
Only six episodes in I have become completely obsessed with Ryan Kwanten's bod on True Blood. Something that I love about the cast is that they don't rely on the CW beauty standard of being nineteen, and well, nineteen. Whoever was in charge of casting True Blood wanted men. And mamaw. I got me a man.
Ryan Kwanten was in his early thirties when he filmed the first season of True Blood. He has the creampie-in-the-sky bod that's ultra defined and sculpted, yet still athletic and natural. I mean, not natural for me. But like, for some. Probably. In fact Ryan opened up to Men's Health about his workout routine in 2009, revealing that his bod is basically a product of just like, getting out there and enjoying life mate! Men's Health says of Kwanten's workout style:
[He] built [his body] outdoors, focusing on functional strength rather than gym-built abs. Years ago, in his native Australia, he even moonlighted as a professional triathlete.
Me too. When it comes to dieting Kwanten:
...cuts down on refined carbs, opting for protein and vegetables. He also avoids alcohol, and drinks water or protein or vegetable shakes instead.
Me... too. If anyone is bored A) read his blurb in Men's Health because it's, yeah, eye-roll central and B) Watch True Blood on HBO with me! Does anyone have any memories of watching True Blood for the first time? Does anything think Ryan Kwanten's bod isn't all that and a bag of dicks? Let us know below!
