I like the movies of Monique Alexander more than a little bit due to her award winning looks, sparkling personality, and increasingly heated performances in her movies at Vivid Entertainment so I figured that picking a sex toy with her image would result in good karma; despite my assistant never having heard of the contract hotty. The toy in question this time was Monique’s Sensual Curves released by Doc Johnson as part of their Vivid Toys line, a stunning picture of Monique gracing the cardboard sleeve used to attract consumers. My guess is that advertising such as this is more likely to garner the attention of a man buying a toy for his woman but it was a tasteful shot of Monique in pink satin undies with windswept hair so it certainly invoked a mood suitable for the moment.
The toy itself was about 8 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter, pink, and curves with a penis-like head at the top. The material was a translucent soft jelly advertised on the package as “Non Toxic Phthalate-free PVC”, making me wonder why anyone would bring up toxicity levels of a sex toy in the first place given the limited information on the materials used to build them. The bottom of the toy was where the two AA batteries went in, my only concern being the twist cap seal used to secure them also doubling as the location of the speed control; more than once in my testing career finding toys that opened up if not designed properly. Doc Johnson being one of the premiere toy companies in the world, I had less to worry about but have found some of their models to be less satisfying in this regard so I always check it out closely.
The device advertises as “water proof” but despite a clear “O” ring seal inside the toy, a test revealed that even the locking cap was not infallible to all moisture so don’t push the limits of the device by using it under water in a hot tub or something. The vibration level for this price range was actually pretty solid too, the bullet located in the top third of the vibrator with a decent range to select from. Operating it with one hand might prove tricky but once you find a desired level of pleasurable vibrations, you will likely appreciate what you get.
Like most of my tests, I employed an assistant, this batch using “Nadine” from a nearby town north of Houston. She’s seen a lot of toys in her time so she knows what she likes and how to use even the most complicated of toys. This being a straightforward device with minimal options, she took to it nicely as it was rubbed on her labia and clitoris before insertion. Varying the speed for her, she responded nicely in no time at all, claiming to truly appreciate the vibrator without knowing it was a low cost selection. It wasn’t her favorite of the day by any means but the batteries lasted a long time (still buzzing 4 hours later during my endurance test outside of my helper) and other than wanting Monique Alexander to assist on the test, both of us were happy with the results. The soft jelly PVC was probably too soft if you’re looking for backdoor pleasure (it had a fair amount of “give” to it) but as a novelty you can have lots of fun with, it definitely earned a rating of Recommended from your testing team, just be careful around the bath tub or other bodies of water since it struck me more as water resistant then water proof, and you’ll be okay.
