One of the things that few toy reviewers spend much time on is their qualifications and their biases, no matter where you are reading their reviews. For some, this means taking the time to become more well versed in the reviews of particular writers while others see a toy that tickles their fancy (or fanny!) and want to know more about it than you will find from quotes on a company website or from anonymous sources. Like every other person out there, I have my own biases, the biggest of which include that a toy be reasonably durable, priced for the market it is directed at, and fun to use because without these three factors coming together, nothing else will matter. The latest toy coming in is called the Adam & Eve Glass Spinner and as you may have suspected, it is made out of glass for women to use as a penetration device.
The toy is 3.5" in length (at least you insert that much) and 1.75" wide, a mite larger than average but easy enough to go in when some lubrication is applied (naturally occurring or the kind you apply). The substance it is made out of is called tempered "borosilicate" glass and having played with similar toys in the past, which means it is chip resistant and shatterproof (but not break-proof altogether). You can truly clean this one better than many toys made of modern materials like plastic or rubber too, the hypoallergenic nature of the thing easy to clean (the company even suggesting placing it in the dishwasher). Because it is made by Topco, it was likely made in China but I have no documentation of that so if you purchase sex toys and want a clear social conscious, you will have to check into it further on your own.
So, with no batteries to cause vibrations, what is the gimmick this time, you may ask? There is a crank on the bottom of the device that allows it to be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise when inserted. Well, at least that is how it is supposed to work because in my limited amount of time, I found doing so to be next to impossible unless using two hands, the end results being more amusing than erotic. Don't get me wrong though, Nadine liked the experience enough to rate it as Recommended thanks in part to the nubs on the device and how it felt overall, it just did not turn like it was advertised (for us at least). She likes the glass material and finds weird ways to appreciate it such as heating it up or even cooling it down to rub on her nipples, something about the sensations it produces with variations in temperatures adding something for her.
So, as far as the basic toy is concerned, the Adam & Eve Glass Spinner looks a bit odd but may help you find a happy place to relive mentally when you start diddling yourself with it, filling your internal spank bank with fond memories. With proper care, it should last forever too, an environmentally sound method of masturbation over the long haul. As far as men using it anally, I wasn't interested in trying it that way but I've seen worse used in the past so let your desires be your guide. Have fun!
