Guilty As Sin: Getting Guilty with Director Tony DiMarco

PORN GALLERIES

We all are guilty of swooning over so many yummy porn stars, and such praise is well warranted. Now it's time to shine a spotlight on one of the talented men behind the camera.  You have probably already heard the name Tony DiMarco, and if not, get out from whatever rock you've been hiding under and join the party. DiMarco has made quite the name for himself in the industry, directing and producing some of Raging Stallion's steamiest films such as Ride or Die, Big Load Lovers, and his most recent project Guilty as Sin, releasing tomorrow. In anticipation of the latter, let us all get to know Tony DiMarco a bit more intimately...

How do you come up with these sexy elaborate storylines for Raging Stallion productions? Typically, we come up with an overarching concept and then drill down to create a storyline that can be told in a five (or four) scene structure. With GUILTY AS SIN, which I co-directed with Ben Rush, we plotted out a high-concept narrative from which Ben wrote a smart, intricate and well-crafted screenplay.

What is it like working with some of the best pornstars that the industry has to offer? I’m not going to lie – it’s pretty awesome. The reality is that they’re very cool, down-to-earth people. Many of the guys we’ve worked with over the years did their first scenes with us and then went on to become extremely popular in the industry – so there’s trust and history. It’s like working with very good friends, who happen to be hot and let you watch them have great sex. No complaints here!

What is your favorite part about producing a Raging Stallion film? I love that we create movies that are a bit darker, edgier, and deliciously sinful. The whole Raging Stallion line is a blast to produce because; the storylines tend to be naughtier – think casual hookups, cruising, and spontaneous sex. Some might call the films guilty pleasures, be we don’t think there should be any guilt in getting pleasure.

What is one standout aspect of Guilty as Sin that you are excited about? I think the cast did an outstanding job of interpreting the script and performing in the film. I was impressed that everyone knew their lines and took them very seriously. We shot the full movie in four days, so we all needed to work in lockstep to pull it off. I’m proud to say that we did. The key was having a great roster of talent and an amazing crew.

What is something that makes you feel like a sinner? A bakery!

Who is someone in the business with whom you "pledge your loyalty"? There is no one person per se; it’s more loyalty to my commitment to making good films. Regardless of the circumstance, I always strive to improve our content and make the most compelling entertainment I can. That said, I suppose my loyalty is to the craft.

What is something you've recently done that left you feeling Guilty As Sin? It was Drew Valentino’s birthday during production, and I may have had a cupcake to celebrate. Don’t tell my husband.

What is the one piece of advice you would give your younger self regarding working in the industry? To push for things you believe in and fight for what you want -- whether it’s a model, a location, or equipment. Don’t be afraid to ask for anything because the worst thing that can happen is someone saying “no.” I would also remind myself about the virtue of patience. Rome wasn’t built in a day and, if you are trying to do great things, you must persevere. It will happen in time if you remain committed to your work.

In your eyes, what is one of your biggest achievements in the industry to date? I’ve been in the industry for a long time, and there are so many things I’m proud of. More recently, one of my biggest achievements is the action-drama series I directed last year (also written by Ben Rush) entitled RIDE OR DIE. I put a great deal of energy into that project, and I pushed the creative team and everyone who worked on the production. In the end, I feel we did a really great job on RIDE OR DIE, and am very proud of that film.

What do you look for in a performer when casting a production like Guilty As Sin? I look for someone who matches the role and is also a dynamic performer. A good performer is not just a hot guy with a big dick and an amazing ass; he’s someone who enjoys sex and is very expressive. We want to feel what they are feeling when they perform. When the model loses himself in what he is doing, that’s when the magic happens. Then it’s the director’s job to capture it.

What is one of your favorite ways to wind down after a long day of shooting? After a long day of shooting, I like to have a great dinner, a hot shower, and some “Netflix and Chill," heavy on the chill. Making adult films may look easy and fun, but production can be very draining physically and mentally; so, for me, I need to turn it all off until the next day.

Describe Guilty As Sin for us in three words... Fucking hot sex!!
