Robert John Guttke began his career as an artist using pencil, paper and clay—but today, the Minneapolis-based photographer is more likely to use the lens and darkroom to mold stunning photographic visuals characterized by gorgeous models and dramatic lighting. Interviewed in the July/August issue of [2] magazine, Guttke says every frame he shoots is a labor of love: "The most successful nude is one where you don't even notice the figure is naked—you are drawn into the image so clearly that the nudity is secondary or tertiary."
