The String Theory of Gay Porn Awards Shows

Somewhere between de-stringing the String Theory of Quantum Mechanics and pooh-poohing the Pauli Exclusion Principle (we know, sooo '08), the Gay-Porn-Nominating-Powers-That-Be said, "You're Right! There just aren't enough nominees with enough categories!" So they decided to add more because, well, String Theories can get a little, like, redundant. As our esteemed colleague, J.C. Adams, noted, "A whopping 18 films earned a Best Director citation (not counting directing teams), while 19 are in contention for Performer of the Year and Best Actor, and 15 for Best Newcomer." There's also awards for sets and music and scripts and websites and marketing and so many other categories we might as just add "Best Recordkeeping" and call it A Weekend Retreat. What's noticeable is Chi Chi LaRue's absence as the evening's host as is the welcoming back of porn ingenue, Brent Corrigan, who was nominated in a number of categories this year and who, like a younger, MUCH gayer Moses, has been roaming the pornscape awaiting the keys back to his magical kingdom. The show, in all it's super-gay glory, will be on display March 28, 2009 at The Castro Theatre in San Francisco.
