When Charlie Carver sat down to chat about his role in I Am Michael with Huffington Post Live at the Sundance Film Festival, he had an interesting description for what it was like shooting the scene. "It was hot as hell," Carver says, but he's actually talking about the shooting conditions in the attic where the scene was shot, and not necessarily referencing the scene's content.
Carver and the film's director Justin Kelly talked quite a bit about shooting the film, and Carver got a great lesson in choosing his words carefully. "A scene like that... you just have to have a sense of humor and you just go for it, and I think there are plenty of things that are more awkward to shoot than a sex scene or a love scene or whatever you want to call it."
Host Ricky Camilleri then asks Carver what's more awkward to shoot than a threesome to which Carver retorts, "Casual dialogue," with a laugh. I envy all those lucky souls who got to see the film already and am looking forward to seeing this whenever it gets released. The sex talk starts at 8:55 in the above video.
