HBO Max's Heated Rivalry is tearing it up, making the cross from gay programming to mainstream. It is a bona fide hit! Who knew this show about star-crossed closeted gay hockey players would be such a success? While other gay shows like Boots have been canceled, Heated Rivalry has been greenlit for two more seasons. The show's two leads, Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, have been enjoying a big media push, being featured in both gay and mainstream media and PR. It doesn't hurt that they are gorgeous, but they also have such great and natural chemistry offscreen. On screen, their sex scenes are graphic and sexy, but still have an element of romance to them. François Arnaud plays Scott Hunter, an American ice hockey player and captain of the New York Admirals, who meets Robbie G.K. as Christopher "Kip" Grady, a smoothie shop barista. SPOILER ALERT: As their love grows, their being in the closet with their relationship takes its toll. It is too much.
