Just because our current administration seems to be attacking us left and right doesn't mean we don't get new queer entertainment to delve into. They know they still have to give us those proverbial circuses along with the bread to keep our attention off their shenanigans. Luckily, most of us can do both, be entertained by fluff and be angered into action. So what are some upcoming pieces of entertainment we're looking forward to next year? The Advocate put together a short list of titles that are catching our attention.

Okay, so the franchise isn't technically gay. But it's not technically gay in the way that Cher isn't technically gay. Both are such a gay draw they might as well come with a bottle of poppers and a prescription for Prep! The new film stars a stupendously pumped-up Nicholas Galitzine, he of formerly twinkish Red, White, Royal Blue in which he played the gay Prince of England falling for the son of the American President. And it's his recent X posts, showing off his new muscles and workout routines that have the gay internet in a tizzy. I mean, he is playing He-Man after all. He needs the bulk! And check out his loooong Power Sword!
Teenage mutant zombies? Based on a book? And Luke MacFarlane is one of the stars? And a queer character at its center? YES PLEASE! The nineties-era zombie story finds a group of teens taking shelter in their school as their town is overrun by the undead. Sounds a lot like the Korean series All Of Us Are Dead, which was Ah-Maze-Ing! So even a cheap knockoff will still rock, as long as it has Luke's body!
Get yer hankies ready, and I don't mean the colored one hanging out of your right pocket. Olivia Colman stars alongside non-binary actor Aud Mason-Hyde as Hannah and Frances as they travel to Amsterdam to spend a year with gay grandfather "Jimpa." Intergenerational queer gender and family politics are sure to bring tears to the eye.
The popular Netflix series comes to a close with a wrap-up movie. Can Nick and Charles's relationship survive long-distance when Nick goes off to college? Tune in to find out!
More life-affirming queerness when Jeremy Irvine plays "Jeremy," a gay firefighter who dreams of being a ballroom dancer. Based on a true story, it co-stars out gay actor Rupert Everett as his instructor; this one is sure to warm the cockles of your...heart.
Another true story brought to dramatic life, this tells the story of real-life couple Rollie Roh (Leo Woodall) and Tom Crosslin (Sebastian Stan), two utopian pot farmers in Michigan who run afoul of local authorities and eventually the FBI. The Advocate warns that this will be a rough watch if you know the story.
Take an Anne Rice novel of the same name about a revenge plot contrived by an 18th-century castrati and a noble's son, set in the world of Italian opera, have it helmed by none other than Tom Ford, and fill it with a bevy of queer and queer-friendly celebs, including Adele in her film debut (!!!), and you have a whole bunch of gay. Sing your praises in a high C!
And saving the (probably) best for last...
This BDSM biker love story comedy was the darling of the film festival circuit this past summer, and friends of yer boy Hank here who saw a special screening in NYC said it was fantastic. Starring Alexander Skarsärd playing dom daddy to Harry Melling's meek submissive, it's passionate power play with a surprising amount of humor.
