The Italian Stallion, Ken Rock

PORN STAR

pornstar Ken Rock

The Italian Stallion, Ken Rock

Does the gay adult industry really need another gorgeous muscle daddy? You're damn right we do! Especially with one as dynamic as Ken Rock. With his always competition-ready physique, gentle green eyes, super tanned skin complemented by many sexy tattoos, funny and "awe shucks" demeanor, and an insatiable love of all (and we mean all) kinds of sex, it's no wonder this Italian Stallion has been making waves in recent months. Though he had dabbled in the webcam world several years ago, Ken has come to the business bigger (literally and figuratively) than ever and is ready to take the business head-on. He's got ambitions! In his first online interview, Ken shares his background, some of his life struggles, and how he hopes to take the business by storm!

Let's start with a few basics: Name? Age? Hometown? Occupation? Relationship status?

Ken Rock. 45, but 29 if anyone asks. From Riverdale, NJ (Italian Jersey Boy here!). My daytime job is as a hairstylist (with 27 years of experience!). I am a recent divorcee.

How did you create your stage name?

When I was a teenager, I remember someone saying your porn name was your middle name and the street you grew up on. So... Not incredibly creative?

Could you tell us about your background as an Italian Jersey Boy?

Oh boy! I suppose it is as stereotypical as you might imagine. More like the Sopranos than the Jersey Shore, though. I don't know exactly what a lot of my great uncles and cousins did for a living, but quite a few spent some time in prison. It just wasn't talked about, I guess.

In my immediate family, things were a little bit calmer. My Mom and Dad were teenagers when they had me, and my dad raised me by himself with the help of my Nana and Pop-pop until he met my stepmom when I was seven.

I always felt very loved and very spoiled.

What makes Italian Men so sexy?

Hahaha! Maybe the dark skin and big personality?

How did you come to the world of adult entertainment?

I've always been a little bit of an exhibitionist. When I was younger, I had a friend who was doing live WebCam shows for a company back in New York. The idea really got me off. It was a lot of fun to do. I still find that I'm not so much performing for my scene partner as I am for the audience that I know is watching.

Why did you stop? What has brought you back?

I had a few years where things got pretty dark. In my twenties, I got into drugs and did prostitution to support my drug habit. At 32, I got sober. I didn't really imagine it was possible to be in the adult entertainment world and be sober. I'm really glad that I took a break to work on myself and make sure that I was doing it for the right reasons, mainly not to escape from reality or engage in self-destructive behavior. I'm performing to appease the side of myself that enjoys showing off for others.

I started by just doing solo content, then some collabs with friends, and more recently, I've been fortunate enough to get work at Men.com and some smaller studios. I'm really hoping to grow my career by adding some other studios to my portfolio.

How is the business different now as compared to when you first started? How have you changed?

The people that I'm working with are much more conscientious about physical and mental health. Also, I don't think the "party culture" is as prevalent in adult entertainment as it used to be. It just feels a lot safer, and there's not as much risk involved. Obviously, having Prep and Doxy pep makes it much more pleasurable for the performers and for the audience.

I think I'm still growing and evolving. I would say I'm much clearer about my boundaries than I was as a kid starting out, and I also feel a lot safer in the positions that I'm in because of that.

You have been very open about your struggles with addiction. Do you think bodybuilding and sex work have helped you maintain your sobriety?

Although my sobriety is definitely a direct result of working an active 12-step recovery program, I do believe the saying "move a muscle, change a thought" also applies a lot in my life. Being able to get up every morning and weight train, listen to music, channel my thoughts, and get out my stresses definitely feels like an active form of meditation for me. It's been a huge part of my sobriety.

What does it mean to you to help others with the disease of addiction?

As I mentioned, I'm still very active in my 12-step recovery. I think it's very important to be honest about my lifestyle and my career choices: I'm a sex positive, sober gay man. If there's anybody in the rooms at AA who might feel shame for not living a lifestyle that conforms to heteronormative values, I would hope that they might feel more comfortable with me for being authentic about my lifestyle.

How do you compare your work in the studio world to your OnlyFans work?

I really prefer studio work for where I am in my career right now. I really like the professionalism of it and that there are no surprises when I show up. There are standards of hygiene. You know everybody has been tested, and it will be a safe experience. I would say I'm pretty quiet on set, and I take direction really well. It's not my vision, and I respect that.

When I'm working on my own content, it has to be more organic. Sometimes, that can be tricky if there's not really any chemistry there. Ironically, I think I'm acting a little bit more in my own content at times than I do in the studio.

What do you still want to do in the porn world? Scenes? Scene partners? Sexual activities?

Oh, there's so much I want to do! I would love to get more fetish stuff: some light bondage, water sports, maybe a little fisting, some public videos. Anything more explorative than what I'm doing right now. Also, more 3-way and small group content. There are a lot of scene partners that I would love to work with. Derek Kage, Beau Butler, Hayden Harding, the CC Boys.

Tell us a little bit about yourself outside of porn. Interests? Hobbies? Beliefs? Passions?

I'm a pretty spiritual person. I suppose a non-judgmental, open-minded Christian as far as a religious affiliation. I do go to church sometimes.

I'm really passionate about personal growth. I talk a lot with my friends about it.

As far as hobbies, I read a lot. I love going to the movies with friends, eating with friends (though not necessarily going out to eat), hiking, just being outside, and doing anything physical, really. Growing up with shitty New Jersey weather, I really appreciate being outside and just enjoying it. I love taking a little road trip for the day and seeing a new place. I’m pretty easily entertained.

Who is the real Ken Rock?

Ken Rock is just the alter ego of my daytime self. The uninhibited version of myself that does all the things that 9-to-5 me can’t. He's not afraid to try new things. He's also not nearly as shy.

How do you define a true "Porn Star”?

A "Porn Star" is not just someone who makes adult content. I think it's someone who has integrity in the industry. Someone who, when their name is mentioned, you know not only that they will make great pictures and videos, but they have a reputation for being kind and professional.

How are you going to be one?

At the end of the day, we're all gonna get old, and one day we're all gonna be unfuckable. I hope that when that day comes, the work I leave behind is a portfolio to be proud of. I also hope that people remember that I was just a nice person who cared about everybody in my life.

What is your favorite thing about sex?

Oh geez! This might sound a little corny, but probably just making a genuine connection. Getting off is fun, but I have to say some of my best friends today are people whom I just had the intention of fucking, and now we don't fuck at all. We got to know each other on an intimate level. That's not something you could take back ever. It is something you could take advantage of, but that's not the kind of person I am. So I guess, the best thing about sex is that even if you don't want it to, it breaks down barriers between strangers or friends and forces intimacy.
