Ricky Martin Breaks Out of His Pants, Represents, & Looks Fab at VMAs

Everyone is talking about how well Paul Rudd ages, or rather, does not age, and meanwhile, Ricky Martin keeps getting hotter (and tanner) as he ages. We've been drooling over Ricky ever since he made it big with his international hit Livin' La Vida Loca in 1999. Yes, it's been over 25 years. Oy! Well, this Sunday, Ricky heated up social media as he shared shirtless pics of himself getting ready for the VMAs. He broke his pants and had to fix them with a needle and thread. Muscles bulging the whole time. Yes, we all started drooling again.

There was some trepidation about the lack of queer representation that was going to take place at this year's VMAs due to the current rollback of LGBTQ visibility across the nation, due to political pressure. Well, we didn't have to fear because the queer community pretty much took center stage at this mainstream music celebration. Sabrina Carpenter featured drag queens and pro-trans signs during her presentation; Ariana Grande thanked the "gays" in her acceptance speech; Lady Gaga won; and we saw a number of queer artists and personalities on the red carpet. The evening also featured the first-ever Latin Icon award, given to our Latin stud, Ricky. He performed a medley of his hits, exciting both men and women in the crowd. This was a huge step for the music and Latin communities, honoring a queer man.
