When Worlds Collide: Jessica Jasmin & Ben Rush, Adult Film Match Made in Heaven

When looking at the status of the Gay Adult Entertainment Industry, no doubt two of the biggest names in the business are filmmakers Ben Rush of Falcon NakedSword and Jessica Jasmin of ASG Max Disruptive. Two different filmmakers who represent two very different brands of adult entertainment. They are both award winners and both enormously respected for what they create with their individual styles. Now, with their upcoming epic "Wild Game," these two auteurs and their studios are joining forces to create a feature film, the likes of which this business has never seen. Fleshbot has the exclusive scoop on the project and the honor of hosting both filmmakers for their first dual interview.

How is 2025 going for you? Busy and productive Summer?

JESSICA JASMIN: It’s been an incredible year so far! I’ve had the opportunity to produce some major projects, direct my first solo gay feature, Pledge Daddy for Disruptive Films, and, of course, Wild Game in Sonoma. Things are only just starting to slow down now after a very busy summer.

BEN RUSH: It’s been a wild summer, including quite a bit of travel and some big productions. I was in Sonoma, California, to make Wild Game and then Europe to shoot The Devil You Know and an all-new Falcon Studios movie for November. I’m ready for a nap.

Tell us about your latest project. Title? Style? Genre?

JJ: Wild Game is truly a wild ride. It’s designed as an emotional roller coaster that takes viewers through a wide range of feelings across five powerful scenes.

BR: Wild Game, which is a co-production between Falcon | NakedSword and ASGmax, is the forthcoming film I wrote and then co-directed with Jessica Jasmin. It’s a high-octane thriller that takes place across acres of redwood forest in Northern California. I would call it a very intense action-thriller.

What made you two want to collaborate on this together? What did you both bring to the table?

JJ: I first met Ben at the GayVN show, where I told him how much I admired his work. We instantly connected and ended up geeking out over our shared passion for creating great adult content. From there, the idea of collaborating just felt natural.

BR: Jessica and I had long admired each other’s work and commitment to creating edgy and propulsive material. We figured if we joined forces, we’d be unstoppable!

Ben, what was your inspiration (if any) for this story?

BR: There was a short story by Richard Connell in 1924, and a subsequent 1932 film starring Joel McCrea and Fay Wray, in which an unhinged hunter purposefully strands a yacht on a remote island and then begins to hunt the stranded passengers. I was always intrigued by that material and thought about mixing in elements of more contemporary thrillers like The Purge and The Hunt to create a wholly unique story. I thought it was also an opportunity to comment on class culture and the current state of the world – but with really hot and kinky sex, of course.

Tell us about your cast and the characters they play.

BR: Paul Wagner and Blain O’Connor play two tech billionaires who find down-on-their-luck men to participate in a day-long game on their sprawling forest land. The first player to find the property’s exit wins $1M. The catch? If the billionaire hunters – or their psychotic assistant, Mike Monroe – find the players (Derek Kage, Miles Fallon, Jayden Marcos, Andrew Delta, and Heath Halo) before the players find their way out, Paul and Blain can do whatever they want sexually with the guys.

JJ: I think Ben captured it perfectly when he described the cast and characters, so I don’t have much to add there other than to say we were both thrilled with how everyone brought their roles to life.

How is it sharing director duties? Advantages? Challenges?

JJ: I’ve always enjoyed co-directing, and with Ben, it was a seamless experience. Constant communication is key, and we had that from the start. We clicked right away, shared the same eye for detail, and were equally passionate about making this film the best it could be.

BR: Co-directing is a challenge only if there’s a lack of communication prior to production. Otherwise, it’s wonderful to have a partner-in-crime, someone who can help bring a shared vision to life during the long days and intensity of physical production.

How did your cast respond to all of this?

JJ: The cast was not only excited but also incredibly well-prepared. Each of them gave 110% to their performances, and that dedication really shines through in the final product.

BR: The cast was amazing! Everyone put in hours of preparation before principal photography began and worked hard to deliver fully fleshed-out, dimensional characters that made this movie work. In addition, they were excited to push their own sexual boundaries to create something that is very special, not to mention, hotter than hell.

Jessica, did you have any takeaways from Ben’s filmmaking techniques? What are some things you have in common as filmmakers? Differences?

JJ: From my side, I learned a lot from Ben, especially around performance direction. I was impressed by how even subtle adjustments, whether in language or movement, could transform a scene into something rawer, dirtier, and ultimately more impactful. He reminded me of the power of leaning into authenticity and intensity.

Ben, did you have any takeaways from Jessica's filmmaking techniques? What are some things you have in common as filmmakers? Differences?

BR: Jessica and I had talked many times about working together, and this was the first opportunity we had to collaborate on a project of this scale. The partnership was seamless, as we share high standards and a very sharp attention to detail. We’d planned the film out for nearly a year before shooting, so we were in lockstep by the time the cameras rolled. It was a charmed production without question.

Falcon and Disruptive have somewhat different styles of content. How did you go about combining the two?

JJ: Both NakedSword Originals and Disruptive Films share a commitment to high-quality storytelling and production. NakedSword brings a polished, almost cinematic aesthetic, while Disruptive thrives on a grittier, indie edge. With Wild Game, we found the perfect middle ground by blending those strengths into a film that feels both elevated and raw. It’s the kind of project that people will continue talking about long after its release.

BR: NakedSword Originals and Disruptive films are both known for their strong storytelling and quality product. I’d started to outline Wild Game in 2022, and I knew that some of the scenarios and sex acts in the film had those dark and taboo elements that are Disruptive Films’ signature. I’d been waiting for exactly the right cast and production partner to develop the film further, and the lightbulb over my head flashed when I met Jessica at the GayVN show in Las Vegas two years ago. We started bouncing ideas off each other and ultimately finalized a script that satisfied both brands.

This seems to be a very new and very exciting trend, having different filmmakers and studios joining forces. What are some of your thoughts on this new trend? How will this affect the industry moving forward?

JJ: I think it’s fantastic. Without this openness to collaboration, I might never have had the chance to work with Ben. More and more studios are embracing the idea, and I believe it only strengthens our industry. By combining different creative voices, we push boundaries, innovate, and create content that feels fresh, groundbreaking, and truly evolutionary.

BR: Studio collaborations, in my experience, keep things fresh and bring together creatives who wouldn’t necessarily have the opportunity to work together otherwise. In addition, they provide resources such as manpower, additional funding, exclusive talent, and different perspectives that are very apparent on-screen. The adult industry has always been one of the fastest adopters of new technology and new ideas, and evolving business models have been a key to its longevity and success – so I’m here for it!

Will we get another Ben Rush & Jessica Jasmin dual project?

JJ: Absolutely! I loved every second of working with Ben, and leaving LA at the end of the shoot was bittersweet. I’d jump at the chance to collaborate with him again.

BR: If I have my say? Absolutely!
