Bottoms, Want To Up Your Game? Do This!
Hello Sexy Bitches! Well, back in April, I gave my tips for tops who want to up their game. I got plenty of feedback (but not even dick pics) that my pointers helped out in the bedroom. Then I got plenty of feedback from you hungry bottoms out there that you wanted pointers as well. I wouldn't let my fellow power bottoms down for the summer, so here I am with my tried and true tips on taking the bottom bunk. Trust me, I have a lot of experience and plenty of paid-for cruises to show for it. Bloop! So lube up and get ready, here are some go-to things to keep in mind when bending over for your man (or for the neighbor, or for the anonymous hookup, or for your boss, or for...well, anyone.)
Slick It Up!
Honey, trust me, using only spit or gym sweat as lubrication only works in gay sex scenes on screen. If you are bottoming, you must use lube. If you don't, you will be in some serious discomfort (even if you are used to taking big ones) and you can even risk tearing your anus. That is just not cute. They make travel and single-size packets of lube, so there is really no excuse not to have it on hand. I keep my travel size in my gym bag or in my fanny pack (yes, I am trying to bring back the fanny pack). If you use condoms, do NOT use oil-based lube, as it could damage your condom. Using lube can also decrease the spread of infections.
If You Can't, You Can't
Even the best power bottom doesn't always have good days. Hey, some days you just aren't in the mood to bottom, and guess what? That is OK. Sometimes you just aren't physically prepared, and sometimes you just aren't mentally prepared. If you aren't in the mood, you are going to have a terrible time and you will tense up, which can cause tightening up and risk of damage to your butt. It is imperative that you and your top have good communication, even if it some anonymous session out in the middle of nowhere. Just because we are taking the bottom bunk, there's the assumption that we should just be subservient and willing. Nope. We are the ones being impaled; we should be in control. Also, you may experience some discomfort when taking a big dick, but it should never be intense pain. That's a cue to stop and check out what's happening.
Foreplay
Foreplay and breathing isn't always featured in our favorite gay porn scenes either. To get into the mind set and to put your body and your butt at ease and open to taking some pounding, try some deep breathing exercises. It really makes a difference. Also, if you tend to be tight, demand some hot foreplay action. Passionate kissing, nipple sucking, rimming, and deep massaging can help put you in the mood and make your butt loosen up. Also, don't be afraid to incorporate some toys into the mix to get you to open up. Start slowly. We also did a post about the art of fingering early this week, try some of that!
To Douche or Not To Douche
The fact of the matter is, if you have a good diet full of fiber and regular trips to the bathroom, you probably don't need to douche. Do a self-check and see what's happening, but too much douching is not healthy. Even the most active bottom shouldn't be douching more than three times a week. When you douche, only use water; don't use anything chemical like an antiseptic because it may irritate your anus and increase risks of STDs.
Self Checks
You should be doing self-checks regularly. Stick your fingers in and check for bumps or tears in between hookups. If you can, bend over in front of the mirror and see how things look. Any irritation or irregular bumps should be checked out by your doc immediately. That's another thing for your must-do list is getting a doctor that you can trust and feel comfortable talking about EVERYTHING in front of.
Above all, take control in the bedroom. Yes, it can be hot to have a dom top and play the sub role, but when it comes to your body and your hole, you are always in control.
