Hot Gay Beach Volleyball Pro Charlie Siragusa Continues To Represent

A volleyball pro on the US national team, Charlie Siragusa is openly out and proud and is using his platform to promote queer awareness in sports (and looks damn good doing it). He's also become a star on TikTok, with over 100K followers and over 4 million likes. He's not only an avid queer activist, he is also a stud. He clocks in at 6'8" and is all lean muscle. Woof!

He is an alumnus of UC San Diego, and his rise is detailed in a short film for the "Being Out" series. Competitive volleyball has taken Charlie around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Italy, El Salvador, Brazil, and many other nations. And he's even competed in his underwear.

Charlie told Outsports that gay representation in volleyball is increasing, although slowly. He says he is part of a beach volleyball group chat now called ‘GayVP,’ that includes all the out gay American beach volleyball players.

Charlie also shared that he has had to scale back from TikTok because of the demands of volleyball, his priority, and his passion. He has been very open that volleyball doesn't pay the bills and that to stay in the sport, he has had to work on his personal brand, in terms of social media numbers and sponsorships.

About queer representation, he told Outsports, "I’m able to be who I am only because of the LGBTQ people who came before me and who were courageous enough to be out. They did it in a world where it was 100 times harder. I’ve been given the privilege of living in the USA in 2025, so I think I owe it to both the generation before me and the generation after me to be out and proud.”

Charlie has his eye on the Olympics, adding to the ranks of openly queer athletes who have competed. The last Summer Olympics had the record-high number of queer-identifying competitors participating.
